Also how would you say the accuracy is on yours? Sub moa @100 yards lol.
all joking aside I heard fixed barells were supposedly more accurate than the free moving barrels.

funny how most the negTive remRks are from people that dont own one, OP sepcifically asked for opinions from people that has owned a hipoint, surprising noone stepped in here and told him to save his money and get a springfield loaded LOL

i own one, im not poor, its a great value for a gun, which i think its ridiculous how some companies can get away with charging so much for plastic LOL, ive owned 3 glocks and i can shoot my hipoint 10x better than any of them PERIOD no excuses no caveats flat out better, got my hipoint used for $80 with 2 magazines, so far so good

i guess u just have to be a bit open minded to really appreciate it.

limpwristing is a NON issue as almost any semi auto handgun will fail if it was shot limpwristed

weight, unless u CCW then who cares

sights, there is 1 company that makes great aftermarket sights if the factory 3dot or Ghostring isnt up to your standards, i find both facotry sights more than adequate

trigger, has had mixed reviews i think im lucky and got a decent one

as far as the gf, well if she cant appreciate your effort of At least getting her a firearm then u need to re-evaluate your situation and get a new one LOL

I'm with ya 99% just dont think i'll trade in my glocks lol.
And the people who dont own one truly make me laugh when they make negative comments.

don't waist your money on a Hi-point. if you want to see if your girlfriend would like shooting 9mm go to a range and rent a few. if your on a budget i would recommend a Ruger p95 or SW sigma.

Shot my brother's HiPoint 45. Got to admit I shot it well, hit what it was aimed at. However, It just feels clunky, big, out of balance and just plain cheaply made. I wouldn't bet my life with one. There is a reason the military and police use the "Plastic" guns, "They" will work when your life depends on them and no matter the conditions. For a cheap disposable shooter, and if you cannot find a better use for $150. Go for it.

It should be called the Ford Pinto of pistols

Lol I own a berreta in 9mm but I dont shoot it too often and I dont let others shoot it that much either. Also if she shoots 500 rounds and says she likes it, she will get a glock19. But I bought her a s&w 38 6in barrel, she said it was too heavy, I let her pick out a s&w airweight or what ever its called, sold that 10 days later cause she didnt like the 100Lb trigger lol, I then bought her the sig mosquito, she loves it. Do I secretly want a g19 for myself? Yes but I dont feel like buying one now due to theirs other guns on the priority list. So if she like the 9mm she'll get the glock19, if she dont, she can just continue shooting her mosquito. Also what .22 ammo works as a good hd round lmao preferrably something in the 130grain roflmao

"Hi-Point Firearms Forums" may be a good place for you to visit on the internet. i'd guess that you can get a good sense about how the members feel about their Hi-Points, and get some good information as well.

for .22 CCI Stingers peep the youtube videos on them, it aint a 500sw but hey if the .22 has to serve as the HD weapon then so be it

oh yea DONT trade in your glocks, i did, but i may want a G19 sooner or later

as far as going bang everytime u shot a gun and thinking that hipoint wont go bang everytime is just weird, my hipoint goes bang everytime ive shot it

edit: btw im also on HPFF under the same username

Lol I think a hipoint is comparable to a moped, theyre fun as long as no one sees you on or with it lol.
At first I wasnt even gonna bring it up here, I thought about registering on some out of state forum where no one knows me and asking there lol.

Women like to shoot/own Hi-points. Its like standing next to someone that's uglier. By comparison the women will always look hotter.

I'm not saying Hi-points are ugly, I'm just saying they are the least beautiful pistol ever made.
