I'll ask about the MAF sensor... not cheap my friend... I'll ask my buddy who runs a shop in San Jose... I'll let ya know.

Replacement is easy, I've done it on several makes and models but the MAF itself is crazy $$$$...

Just letting ya know on the outcome.... I'll be on the plane tomorrow so text me and I'll let ya know what I find out when I get back to SJ tomorrow...

BTW - whydo you need a new MAF? Seems strange that you need the whole unit? Just wondering... Just in case I need everything, 2door, 4 door, motor size, blah blah blah...

Before you purchase on RockAuto, use the PN# from there and plug it into Amazon. I've had a few cases where shipping on RockAuto was high and Amazon ended up being cheaper. But I always use RockAuto to find which parts fit.

        Just another option.

The one thing on Amazon I don't like are 'untrusted' vendors... Kinda like when we Calgunners buy Magpul parts on amazon or ebay and they end up being Magpul Airsoft parts.. the car parts on Amazon are also questionable..

You mean well but I have some bad luck.... YMMV.

Amazon itself back in the day is not a bad vendor... it's the sellers on Amaon nowdays I don't trust anymore... I don't buy anything from amazon anymore for the past few years.... don't trust the vendors anymore..

Check some VW forums. I used to be on VWVortex years ago and it seemed pretty good.

If .40's went so quickly I'd hate to imagine how fast 9mm would disappear

At first glance, I was like, "who the hell is asking car questions on an ammo forum?" then I saw it was Valegian and I was like "someone get this man some answers, stat!!" Lol. I know nothing about cars, but I did have a 2003 passat and I am still getting recall letters, 3 yrs after selling the damn thing. Not sure if the MAF sensor was one of them, but you may wanna check or see if its coverd under warranty. Good luck with the fix and good work fellas getting the man some answers!

Sorry, a little late, but have you tried cleaning the MAF sensor? It's a cheap and easy way to at least get you back on the road. They will start giving you problems especially if you have an oiled/hi performance air filter.

Hope you get it fixed quick and cheap! The MAF's are crazy expensive!!

Hope you guys are able to hook Sir Valegian up with his parts issue. My automobile repair knowledge stops at the level of changing tires......

Heads up. American Canyon Walmart will have .45 tomorrow. Will try in the am and see. I got so excited that I forgot to ask what time the shipment will arrive. Didn't ask about other calibers. Sorry.
