Wal-Mart Milpitas ammo instock!

One guy ran from the front of the store to sporting goods full speed yesterday. It was hilarious. It was funny when they crushed his hopes of getting ammo when they told him that no new ammo had come in. He wasnt speed walking or jogging...he was seriously running. lol

Man that is just sad. Last speedwalk I did (and yes it's been awhile) was on a Sunday with three other guys. The manager said 'no running' when he opened the door and we walked quick to the ammo dept but kept our places in line. I have no intention of cutting off others and I (Well, I hope) others don't do the same. I really don't wanna look like an a-- running through the store and knocking down some old worker or something.

I was in 4th place... I left with nothing. Not a prob since it was fair. Got to talk and joke before the doors opened so I'm cool with it. Last thing I wanna be known as is a 'cabbage patch doll crazy person'... if you can remember that then yea... we're getting old..

When are we taking Valegian out for beers?

Heads up. No new ammo for Milpitas tomorrow. They just went through their inventory so their instock should be better and the "system" should start replenishing the out of stocks IF it is in the warehouse. With luck, it might be a nice week next week for ammo.

That's a shame. It's bad enough that we're there before 7am. Glad to hear he ran for nothing.

Heads up. No new ammo for Milpitas tomorrow. They just went through their inventory so their instock should be better and the "system" should start replenishing the out of stocks IF it is in the warehouse. With luck, it might be a nice week next week for ammo.

In any case, FYI- Big 5 opens at 10 am and gets their ammo shipments in on Friday (I haven't tried yet, but heard they got a waiting line also), so I think you have a good plan, just not sure if you knew about the open time.

Here at big 5 now. EMPTY. The only cool thing here is a .22lr Colt for $529. Thy said their ammo shipment comes in tomorrow. Confirmed.

New to the forums and new to handguns. Will be picking up a new Springfield 1911 this saturday from jail and looking for ammo. Got a 50 round box of 45ACP Blazer Brass from my gun broker, but having a hell of time getting more at a reasonable price. Been to the MV and Milipitas Walmarts multiple times, but no luck (do I really need to do an iphone campout? jeez). Bit the bullet, and got some American Federal Eagle 45ACP from Ammunition Depot. Pricing sucks, but at least I'm saving on tax and I can sleep in.

I'm in Santa Clara.

Big 5 is much more of a zoo. It's great for shotgun ammo... no limit on 12 gauge 00 buck and bird shot... but no slugs.
Everything else, there's limits.
The bad thing, is the shipment is once a week, always a friday, and they don't open until 10:00. The managers are cool about it, but say the line starts at 6:30 in the morning, and the crowd contains a fair number of "crazies". No friggin' way I'm standing in line with people for 3 hours to buy a limited quantity of ammo... even 22.

Once the morning rush is over, they're happy to tell you what they've got on the shelves over the phone, it's no bother.

If you show up at 9:30, expect to get nothing.

Checkout and follow slickguns.com website. Every now and then I see .45 acp pop up for like $.50 a round ($25/box of 50). My friend was in search and I found him deals on Psa and cabelas earlier this week. I know target masters had 45 for $35 a box, but you can only buy what you shoot there. Not great prices, but Probably better than buying off gun broker. Congrats on the new 1911 purchase!

Hey MC408. Yup, that was me chatting with you at Walmart. Glad to finally meet a fellow calgunner in person. We were both amazed with all the ammo hunters in front of us. I'll try to be there by 6:50am tomorrow to establish my place in line.

hey V. I'll take pictures and post on calguns of the the first guy behind me that tries to run and get ahead of me when the door opens; hahaha. Hopefully, it'll be the same guy you caught running.
