I've used WWB 9mm from walmart for some years (since it was $11/100).
My G34 has swallowed about 30k rounds of it, with only 2 seriously defective
(crushed during production) rounds. Accuracy has been pretty good - can regularly hold the 10 ring at 25yards.

Does anyone have feedback on the jack ross reloads?

My ruger .22 likes federal game shock 40gr plated - it can hold the X ring at 25 yards ;-) I thought my local shop was expensive ($29/500), but haven't seen this or anything equivalent any cheaper online. Mind you this thing is a tack driver with all the ammo I've tried, but POI varies and reliability is better with 40gr.

ANybody know which of the brands sold at Walmart use small pistol primers? I just noticed this disturbing trend in 45 acp, it makes reloading a PITA...

Reloading costs 12 cents? How to do that? Do you cast your own bullets?

I saw the same thing today! The salespeople know nothing when I asked them though.

Just for reference, I was in Big 5 today buying some BBs for my kid and those 100rnd Winchester .45 auto boxes were $53.95...
As much as Walmart blows, a week ago I got the same ammo there for $19.95.

That is with buying bullets, if you cast it is A LOT cheaper then that.

                  1000 bullets 45 $75
                  1000 primers $15-30
Powder is about $9 to make 1000
Use your own brass and you save more

It's the Federal brand. No way of telling from the outside except the box is a bit smaller.

Don't think it's going to go away. The SPP .45ACP is non toxic type for shooting indoors.

                      Holy crap!
I'm glad I reload, and am getting into casting.
Just wish there was a way to cast rifle bullets that could be pushed to 3,000fps.

Just bought 3 boxes of Federal 100 rd value pack at Wally. 19.97 ea. These have been absolutely 100% reliable through my Glock 17. No failures at all-- going on close to 1000 rds. now.

Walmart in milpitas just got AE .223 20-round boxes in last night. $5.97 a box. They don't last long.
