I was in Walmart today and though I'd take a few prices down on some 45 acp ammunition:
Remingotn UMC FMJ 45 acp (250 rounds) $96.97
Remington JHP 230gr (100 rounds) $42.97
Winchester FMJ 45 acp 230gr (100 rounds) $35.96
Winchester JHP 45 acp 230gr (50 rounds) $32.97
Winchester PDX1 45 acp 230gr (20 rounds) $23.97
Federal FMJ 45 acp 230gr (50 rounds) $17.47

The ones I buy highlighted in bold.

Not anymore.

Well if you only shoot 100 rounds once every couple months. Then not too bad I guess.

But if you shoot any volume reloading is the way to go.

SGAmmo.com only place I buy ammo. The nickel plated brass case UMC does really well and isnt as dirty as the other UMC. On the Walmartt thing, the sales guy in Oceanside called his manager when I asked for 50 boxes of AE .223 (I forgot to order ammo). They had to make sure I could buy that much at once......

My local walmart pulled all ammo last week. Said something about the sals people needing back ground checks before they can continue selling? 2 Walmarts in the San Diego area.

The LAX parking lot ammo sale is coming up next weekend and i'm hoping to pick up some 45 acp ammo there. I'm still kinda iffy about shooting reloads and last time I bought 500rds of WWB 45 for $170 + tax. They'll probably have the same deal again if not even cheaper.

Do you guys think that kinda price would be as good as it gets around gun shows/ammo sales around the socal area? I'm also interested in trying UMC as well since they'll probably have a sale on that but I keep hearing good and bad things about both WWB and UMC. So far I only have experience with WWB and have had no problems.
