Burned CD's are one of the worse long term storage methods. The media will deteriorate over time, sometimes in as little as a year for low end media.
Your best bet right now is to put it in the cloud somewhere. Lots of solutions, lots for free. Use them all. Hell you could even email them to yourself using a stable email provider like Gmail. Google Docs etc etc. Even PDF's in iBooks on your iPhone.
