I'm lookin to get a 10mm, I've always liked the fact that its a fairly uncommon bore, and I know they pack a punch, large fast rounds. But I can't seem to find very many guns or manufactures who make a 10mm. I know glock makes them, but I hate hate hate the look of a glock, and they feel terrible in my hand anyways so doesn't really matter. Any others you can point me to

10mm is a great round I'm sorry to say but there is not a huge amount of choices as we are in c.a. off the top off my head smith and wesson, colt and kimber make or made a model in 10mm the only one on the roster besides the glock is a kimber and well if you are into revolvers S&W has one on the roster as wellComment

Well, that is a bit of a problem when you want an "uncommon bore" - they are uncommon!
Here's a site that might be able to help:
Don't forget that in addition to finding a 10mm gun, it also needs to be on the roster or you are limited to PPT or finding someone to SSE it (unlikely).
I suspect you are backing yourself into a fairly tight corner.
I think I would just buy a .40 and tell everyone it was a 10mm short...Last edited by billybob_jcv; 11-21-2011, 9:07 AM.He who exercises no forethought but makes light of his opponents is sure to be captured by them.

What kind of government do you guys got here? This is worse than California.

PPT a S&W 1006, or swallow your distaste and get a Glock. He who exercises no forethought but makes light of his opponents is sure to be captured by them.

Kimber eclipse 10mm. Great gunComment

It seems OP is in CA, so yes, if he is looking for a roster 10mm, the Glock 20 or 20SF are the only ones that he can get new. Scratch that, you can also get a Kimber Eclipse. The others are either non-roster or used.
I say get a Glock 20SF and send it to Glockworx (Glockworx.com)

A 10mm EAA Witness would be pretty nice - of course, it's off roster...
So would a Dan Wesson Titan... You have a spare $3800 + SSE + Fees?

Keep a look out on the various auction sites for a 10xx series S&W. They are built like tanks and are very nice firearms. I've got a 1076 I found via Gunbroker in CA and did a PPT - this was the pistol model used by the FBI when they messed around with 10mm.
I also have an early-model EAA Witness, which has a much beefier slide than the late models (which have experienced slide cracking issues).
I also have a 4" S&W 610 revolver - it is eerily accurate (the most accurate handgun I own), and I can shoot .40S&W out of it if I choose.
Internet ordering is going to be your best bet for factory ammo (Doubletap, Georgia Arms, Buffalo Bore, etc). Otherwise it would be worth your time/$ to get into reloading for this round.Comment
