    Read the ingredients list carefully.

You don't want lube made with olestra. It leaks out the butt...

Isn't this the same stuff Dr. Ruth was recommending in one of her videos?

First of all, I do not appreciate the juvenile comments and innuendo made about this product. I am simply trying to pass on some useful information to fellow shooters.

I will address some of the questions here now.

some people have questioned the reduction in recoil and velocity, I can't be too specific here because it is proprietary information, but to speak generally the recoil is reduced because the monomer layer helps transfers the forces laterally. I am sure everyone here understands how that would reduce recoil.

Secondly, when applied to the barrel the monomer layer reduces surface friction, this conserves energy and increases relative velocity.

I can say that hexagonal rifling benefits approximately 7 percent more than traditional land and groove. Needless to say this increases the already superior performance that Glocks have over other pistols.

        Hope this clears everything up.

^^^ Sure Do's ^^^ We need a Smilies for Snake Oil. After doing very little research on lubrication and cleaning via the iternet, I can comfortably say most gun lubes and cleaners can be had for less money and without some BS stories and claims. I worked at Dow Chem and Dow Corning for years. I know how chemicals are tested.

Time to end the politically correct BS. If you cant prove your claims using scientific methods, stand by.

So to FrogLube and OL Lube. Prove it.

          Or

I got some "Miracle Lube" I want to sell you. It accomplishes everything perfectly. Just send me your cash plus funds for shipping and handling.

            I thought it increased velocity?

So, let me get this straight - a monomer layer can change the direction of a force vector? Riiiiiiiiight....

The velocity loss due to barrel friction in handgun-length barrels is minimal. If it wasn't, there would be serious leading issues in the barrel after each shot. Did you ever notice that shorter barrels give *lower* muzzle velocities, not higher?? This is because the gas expansion can accelerate the bullet for a longer time - at least for reasonable barrel lengths. If friction were a significant factor, then doubling the barrel length would significantly affect the muzzle velocity. It doesn't. The increase in velocity is a function of the expansion ratio: http://www.loadammo.com/Topics/October05.htm

                  Strike 2...

Let's make this easy on you. Let's forget the ridiculous recoil reduction claim for a second. Provide independent testing data showing a statistically significant increase in muzzle velocity due to the application of the lube. After that, then we'll talk about the conservation of momentum, conservation of energy, impulse and free recoil...

                      1) The lube is eating the bullet, therefore making it lighter and thus increasing the velocity.
                      2) The lube is making the gun heavier, thus reducing the recoil.

So, logically, the lube must be a matter-transference device. Very uber geek.
Isn't that the same as leadding the barrel?
By that logic once the barrel is fully leadded, those last bullets are reaching light speed with no recoil.

Much more than just leading the barrel. In order to reduce recoil the lube must be increasing the weight of the gun much more than by just the weight of the bullet. Therefore, it must be transferring mass from outside the gun-bullet system. It's probably obtaining the mass from the shooter - thereby allowing them to also claim the lube will help you lose weight...
