Looking for railed 1911 **FOUND**

Hey all I'm looking for a railed 1911 I'm really interested in the Springfield TRP Operator with Full Rail. Anyone know where I could get one? I've heard the half rail rail is not CA legal, is this true? Thanks for your help.

Half rail requires SSE ( Single Shot Exemption ) or through a PPT ( Private Party Transfer ) since it is not on the safe handgun roster.

I was searching for the half rail one for a week but gave up and bought a non-railed TRP.

You might just get lucky and find one within a day, but they are sold fast. Especially since the whole 1911 100 year anniversary thing going on.

There is a Springfield Armory 1911 MC Operator with an OD Green frame in the sales forum for 1395. I was going to hop on that but wanted a black one instead.


The full railed TRP Operator however is on the roster. Check your local FFLs and see if they carry any. I remember seeing a new one in my local store and the next day it was gone.

$1800 seems a little steep but thanks I'll keep a look out for him. Havnt had any luck finding one in local shops, so I may just have to cough up the extra cash.

$1800 is a little steep for a used/fired one. I have a new/unfired one that I wouldnt let go for less than $1800..

$1800 is to much for a used or new one...keep yours eyes open and you can find new ones for $1600 or less.

If you're like me with limited free time and do not mind paying a few bucks more, I suggest that you contact Ryan Wooton of Table Rock Arms and have him order the gun and do the conversion for a fee, he will then send it to an FFL close to you that's willing to process the transfer.

Lifetime warranty from SA...if I looks to be taken care of I would not worry to much about round count.

Those trp full rails were in stock in a lot of places several weeks ago. Now it looks like the well has dried up, so I gave the OP a few more options that are presently in stock.
