Dry fire at home by sighting in on a light switch or something small, and focus on holding that alignment through the trigger pull and reset. Smooth pull straight to the rear. Go slow. Give yourself 10 quality pulls, and then take a break. Once in the morning, and once in the evening.

Then when you go to the range, mix some dummy rounds into your magazines. This will give you a good indication of your progress. It will also give you good practice on remedial action.
very good advice! so was his rear sight all the way to the left or right???

Man I should really find someone who knows how to press check and have them show me then huh heard it makes you shoot laser beams and rocket bullets from tacticoolness.

And the m9 video and glock19 video were the first times I ever shot a pistol like 3 months ago so I've so take those videos with grains of salt haha that was when I was looking to see which gun I even liked more before I bought a hand gun.

But I've been practicing that grip from the glock shooters and it does help a lot and makes it way easier to squire the sights. Only been dry firing but I'll see how it foes when I get out to the range again. I'm starting to get low on ammo

im assuming squiring the sights means u become a knight and push the sights all the way right or left.

I'll add something to this thread.

I've had my Glock 19 Gen 3 for exactly 1 week now. About 500 rounds now total. I was also shooting low left, but really tight consistent groups. I dry fired with a laser and at trigger break saw the laser move slightly RIGHT!. So I know it wasn't just my trigger pull.

So today I adjusted my strong (right) hand grip. I twisted the gun in hand, in my case, counter clockwise, so that the bore was more inline with my arm. This doesn't feel as natural though.

Anyway. My POI moved dead center.

Now I just need to work on nosing the gun in anticipation. I can see it happening before the trigger breaks. My first 2 shots in a mag are usually bulleyes at 7 yards. then they start moving around from there.

Who the heck do you think you are to tell me to have fun?

There has been a ton of valuable tips in this thread. More than a few which will help me. Thanks to the OP and the folks helping him as you all have helped me.

Do you shoot right handed and you are left eye dominant? I think cross dominant shooters have this issue. Not exactly sure if this is true, but I'm a right handed shooter but I'm left eye dominant and I tend to shoot left. My sights with adjustable windage typically are adjusted a little to the right more to compensate.

Check out how Hickok45 on youtube shoots; he's left eye dominant and right handed and he hits his targets dead on.

I am cross dominant. But I don't think anyone needs to adjust their sights because of it. It shouldn't matter what eye you use to look down the sights.. if they are lined up they are lined up.

And I would much rather learn how to pick up ANY gun and shoot straight.
