I know, it's all a BS myth right? Wrong. It was sufficiently common and well known that Glock issued a particular warning against reloading for it's .40 in addition to its usual disclaimer, and the 2nd edition Lee reloading manual contains a specific warning against reloading for Glocks and other guns with unsupported barrels in .40 caliber. I guess Lee just did that for giggles though, am I right?
TRY TO MAKE A GLOCK FIRE OUT OF BATTERY, USE A DUMMY ROUND, DUMMY, JUST TRY IT, DON'T TALK IT. That is, if you even own a Glock......

Reloading 40S&W? Oh, that's why tens of thousands of USPSA/IDPA/Steel Challenge/3 Gun shooters don't load 40 S&W to shoot major power floor, of course not, google it.

You think I messed with flocks enough to know what the ramps look like. Fake crap? Gimmie a fin break. I'm not comparing this to a 1911, I'm comparing it to many other modern semi autos out there. Get off your fin high horse Mr top 2%, 200 reloads to one casing. You bull s@*$ is getting old.

I wish my Hi-point would do this... While my ex fired it...

Search hard enough and you'll find a Kaboom story for your favorite gun. Zfields is a CZ fanboy. This Kaboomed CZ52 pic is just for him (an older gun but I've seen newer ones kaboom as well). You can hate all you want, and buy into all the hater press all you want. But all guns can blow up when you run bad ammo through them or rarer when a micro fracture grows into a crack and you miss it. Sigs, Berettas, HK USPs, 1911s, you name it it's gone kaboom! So lay off the hateraid. Shoot reliable ammo, inspect the ammo before you load it. Inspect your gun when you clean it for imperfections and cracks. Beyond that, hope for the best. Kabooms are rare, even rarer when you properly inspect your ammo and gun and only shoot factory ammo from a reliable brand.

Did you seriously just call Remington UMC "quality American ammo?"

              Seriously?

If i had some pics, id post them of my CZ blowin up to, but unfortuatly it wasnt that exciting of a kaboom to take a picture. .

Why call somebody out who's defending your position? Stupid practice... Stupid post. Every gun has had catastrophic failures - yes, even ones that are 60 years old. Thumbs down, sir.

I've seen a couple of Glocks fire out of battery. Worn parts can allow this - especially aftermarket worn parts combined with tired recoil springs and ammunition that is slightly out of specification or a dirty chamber..

I'm not sure why someone would make a general statement a 1911 has part of the ramp in the frame. Maybe they've not seen some of the current designs. Original design does, and a lot of them. There's also a lot of them out there with a ramped barrel ..... zero part of the ramp in the frame.

Ammunition is the usual cause of this sort of KB. Never fun.

OP - sorry for your bad luck.
There are some people that it's just not worth engaging.

It's a muzzle BRAKE, not a muzzle break. Or is your muzzle tired?
