I have both the SP01 and USP. For flexibility, the USP is great due to DA/SA, decocker, and locked and cocked. The SP01 is DA/SA with the option of locked and cocked, but no decocker. Both great guns.
I also have SA(1911) and stricker fired(XD).
I like the 226, but don't own one, yet. The few times I have shot one I have not been very accurate with them. I did shoot a P6 and really liked it and was accurate.
Good luck.Comment

I know almost nothing about handguns but just picked up a Sig P2022...just felt right compared to the Glocks, S&W and Springfield. I have not read a sinlge review about it that was negative. Got mine locally for $500, better deals out there online that i've seen. There is my .002 cents....since I know nothing.A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. What part of shall not be infringed is hard to understand!?!Comment

If you must have a gun in DA/SA my vote would be for a HK P2000. I own one with around 2000-3000 rounds through it and has never had a failure of any kind. Now that i think about it all of the HK pistols I own have never had a failure. I can't say that about any other pistols other than my S&W 3914 & 1006 but they have fairly light round counts.Comment

HK P2000. I have the V3 DA/SA with decocker. LOVE it. Also love the CZ-75 and Hi-Power. Can't go wrong with any of those!Comment
