    9mm under $1000

Im starting to slow myself down and think before I buy a Sig P226 BTFO and possibly go rent some guns at a local range just to make sure I REALLY want the 226.

    My requirements:

    9mm
    SA/DA
    Full size
Not for carry (but down the road could possibly)
    Accy Rail

those are my main items I want. I love the sig p226, it shoots amazing. I already own a Springfield XDSC in 9mm, kimber 1911 and a bersa thunder 380.
Im just looking for recommendations to go check out since the local gun shops dont have EVERYTHING and some places have skewed visions on certain manufacturers. Please if you can be descriptive in why.

CZ75 SP01. Has all of your requirements and is a whole lot less expensive than the Sig.

I bought one and will never sell it. I shot and owned P226's and could never be very accurate with it. The position of the slide lock/release really got in the way of my grip. So instead of changing the way I shot, I changed the gun to the CZ and never looked back.

To me ergos in the CZ are superior, accuracy with my shooting is superior, the reliability is equal. Stock trigger would go to Sig in terms of smoothness, but a CZ competition hammer solved that problem.

The 226 is an awesome gun, but not $300-$400 more awesome than my CZ. It just didn't have that kind of value to me.

I would also recommend the FNP-9 and Beretta M9 as well.

                question...is the CZ polymer?

thats an excellent answer. That will be on my list to check out.

I have to say the Sig had an amazing trigger on it...I almost like it more than my 1911. Also...the CZ has a 5 year warranty? The sig lifetime?

phantom is not on the list.

The spo1 is a great gun, but heeeeeeeeeeavy

my 75 SA only is heavy enough, that full length dustcover/rail just tacks on more

well its boiling down to having employee stock purchase and I have a little over $1000 in it. I'm just trying to figure out which I should get.

                        what about the S&W MnP?

M&P are very good guns also. Im not a fan of the trigger personaly.

They are not DA/SA though, they are striker fired "Safe" action (never understood why people call this DAO, THEY ARE NOT DOUBLE ACTION)
