Wilson doesn't offer a BulletProof (barstock steel) mag release. Ed Brown, however, does have a barstock mag release.

I own a Pro.

It's the finest 1911 on the market, IMO.

I handled a few Wilsons and Nighthawks at my local shop and frankly was quite disappointed with them.

The fit and finish - particularly the slide to frame fit - was quite poor for a $3K gun. Not that they weren't tight - but there were unsightly gaps that are simply unacceptable on such an expensive gun, particularly when my $1K Springfield TRPs have a positively seamless slide/frame fit with NO gaps whatsoever - the slide & frame look as if they are one solid piece when looking at the rear of the pistol.

I think one of the things that speaks highest for the Pro is the fact that you practically NEVER see them for sale on the secondhand market - almost NEVER.

When people get their hands on one, they keep 'em, period.

Just handle one & you'll see why.

At first, I had a bit of regret, but the longer I owned & fondled it, the more I love it.

Here I am now considering dropping another $2K or so on another....

I also love the 20 LPI checkering on the Pro.

The fit and finish is immaculate and the gun is ridiculously accurate.

I can give more details if you ask, but right now I'm going to stop typing because my brain is fried after about 13 hours of work.
