I just bought a Glock 17 at LC Action - waiting to pick it up - Only got 2 magazines because they said that Glock didn't send them enough equipment.

I can't remember what they said, but I think this is what happened:
I was supposed to get a white label gun and 3 magazines. Instead, they gave me a Blue label gun but with two 10 round magazines because they had no white label guns. They said I could wait for Glock to send it to them, but it might take up to 90 days. So I decided not to wait and bought another magazine.

I think you should be able to get the 3rd magazine for the other models, but double check!

Oh yea took me about 6 weeks to get my membership for GSSF after I mailed it. I think it might be faster if you fax it and use a credit card, but not sure though. Also did not receive a member hat or magazines - they are out of stock atm.

I visit Glocktalk quite often and have never heard anyone mention that you have to have 1 year worth of membership before getting the gun discount. This is news to me. And if any forum is to hear about this first, it'd definitely be Glocktalk.

With my own experience, this didn't hold true. I faxed my application in, and used a credit card (vs. mailing and using a check/money order). Still ended up waiting close to 6 weeks for my membership packet...although I did get the hat, but no magazine. I would definitely say this is a "your mileage may vary" kind of thing though.

I do believe that GSSF is a one woman show, and Donna is the sole person processing memberships, and they get a TON of 'em.

And yeah...I'll wait and see, but I'm still calling bunk on the 1 year of membership before you can purchase. IF that's the case, all hell is going to break loose on GlockTalk...

April 1 is when prices went up last year on glocks for GSSF members. Seems like this may be the date for any changes in the program, if there would be any.

I faxed in a credit card renewal last night because I'm signing up for an armorer course. I got an email this morning saying my renewal should be processed by next week and that they'd let the training people know I'm good to go.

I think you can get your app/renewal processed faster if you're going to take a training class soon or if you're going to shoot in a match soon.

I called Dan at Force Tactical in Simi Valley, CA yesterday to verify he had a glock 21 in stock and to verify he is a GSSF Dealer. He held the gun for me and the process was very smooth when I went in to purchase the g21 today. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to buy a gun through the GSSF program. He is a Law Enforcement Only dealer so make sure you bring your gssf card. I give this place 2

The guys at Force Tactical didn't seem to be very GSSF/Civilian friendly. At least the person I just spoke to on the phone. I called to find out if they had a G21SF in and he asked if I was LE and I said that I was a GSSF member. He told me that they were an LE only store and that they couldn't sell to me because they didn't have any 10rd mags. I asked if they would sell the gun w/out mags and he said no. Pro Force Law Enforcement in Brea was much more friendly. They said if they didn't have any 10rd mags in they'd discount the gun for what the cost of the mags were. I didn't get a good vibe from Force Tactical.

River City Gun Exchange in Sacramento is a GSSF dealer now. I went in to talk to them about buying a G26 and they quoted me $499.99. I told them under GSSF pricing it should be $425. They said they can't sell them that low and that they would get out of the GSSF program before they honored that price.

Went to SBR and they were very helpful. I'll be going back in this Thursday to buy from them, depending on if a used one in the classifieds is still available or not.

So let me get this straight... getting the membership is the easy part..

Then I have to find a GSSF dealer... ok semi-easy...

After I find a GSSF dealer then I need to make sure the dealer is not LEO/PROFORCE only... (this can be taken care during the calls to the GSSF dealers search)

Then I need to find out if they honor the discounted price of GSSF.

If they do honor the price I need to make sure I speak to that same person when I come in to purchase the weapon because most shops has the one bad apple that argues with you even know that you just verfied with someone over the phone..

I just wish you could just buy the gun from glock and have them send the glock to a GSSF participating dealer and you pay the DROS.
