    XD or M&P

Just want to say first (just in case my glock is reading also ) I still love my Glock But I been really thinking about some other striker-fired poly framed pistol.. Also i love working on my guns. magwell, guide-rod, barrel trigger job.. so which of the two have better aftermarket parts support?

I have no idea how to do a poll...

Your Glock has a much better trigger reset than both which makes it easier to master your trigger and get quick, accurate follow up shots.

The XD and M&P bring a more comfortable hand fit to the table, but that is it. They are just as bulky so they are not easier to keep from printing during concealed carry, so it is not like they are filling a hole in your existing firearm collection.

It is not on the roster, so you would need to get it conversted to single shot for the DROS and then convert it back (which is see spot run), but the Walther PPS is striker fired and extremely THIN. It would fill a hole in your collection as that thin frame doesn't print during concealed carry. So at least you get something for sacraficing some reset length.

Eh? I didn't see the OP mention anything about concealed carry and thinness of the gun. Anyways, if you want thin though... look at Kahr.

Between the M&P 9 and XD40. I will grab the XD everytime going to the range. The trigger reset is significantly better than the M&P. The M&P sits well in the hand, but I like the way the XD shoots better.

M&P for pictures. XD for an awesome fun gun

Want a better reset for the M&P? Look at the Apex RAM. Helps out a LOT.

Cannot say any about the M&P. I just rented a XD tactical (5 inch barrel) in both 9 mm and 40 S&W. Great guns to shoot and accurate. I just finished DROS'ing the 9 mm version.

My wife just picked up a full size M&P 9 and I ended up buying a compact 40 because I just liked the way it felt in my hand. I have to say, my compact was made only a few months ago and my wife's was made in 2009. The triggers are totally different. The newer compact has a nice clean break, where my wife's is spongy. We are going to do the Apex route anyway, but it appears that S&W have made strides in their triggers. Or maybe I am just lucky...
