IMHO this should be a wash for both parties!!

The OP started with an aftermarket slide, and it appears that Ray did mention the problem could lay in the slide. I would have to say if one part is out of spec it could affect the other parts. +1 Ray

The finish wore off with the holster? This is not really acceptable. I think GW needs to change vendors for the refinish. +1 OP

The hogue hand-all's swell too much on the sides, and my little sausage fingers sweat alot and aren't able to get a decent grip.

Thats bad to hear. That hand-all is the cheap quick fix for Glock grip. Getting your pistol the way you want it may be more of a pain than you anticipated but it will be worth it when done.

Wouldn't it just be easier to buy a 1911 and be done with all the gerry rigging to get a great trigger and cosmetics?

To stay with the spirit of the thread I too bought two triggers from Gloxworks. One for a 17, and one for a 34. I still have the trigger in the 17, but with the lighter striker spring I do get an occasional (1-2%) FTF's caused by light strikes. The reset and break however is much better than the stock glock, so I use the gun for range duty where I don't have a timer on me or for shooting sharks in the head as the glock is pretty good about the sea enviroment.

The second compete trigger job I got didn't work in my 34, it wouldn't reset dependably, but Ray took it back no questions asked, although I would have liked to have kept it if we could have worked out a fix.



In my attempt to get a glock to shoot like berretta with a trigger job I made a post on glock talk, and one guy posted a 1911 and said, if you want a smooth breaking light crisp trigger just stop messing around and buy a stock 1911...which in a few days time came up at an awesome price, so I bought it.

I sold the 34 and a 21, and replaced them with 1911's too.

I know the pics a 2011 but its the same as a 1911 except for the double stack magwell and porting.

The moral of the story is, keep you glocks glocks, and your 1911's 1911's, and let them do what they do best, and leave all the tricked out stuff to others or learn to deal with the inevitable consequences and occasional heartburns and sucesses, but leave the flaming rhetoric for your marriage or your dog.

Ray did his best, but he can't work miracles and occasionally I am sure even his shop has issues, but a public forum is kind of a brutal place to try to burn a well respected and time tested vendor. If you think he screwed you go to small claims court, but try not to ruin his reputation over a few hundred dollars, its not right, its too large a punishment for the crime.

Did I mention you might want to buy a 1911?

Im bringing this back to life because regardless of the OP's problem, Ray's attitude towards his customers and his self-induced martyrdom is enough to turn me off from GW forever. And the fact that you lackies vehemently defend Ray's behaviour is why CGN has a bad reputation for militant fanboyism.

My glockworx trigger works awesome. Last time I used it was yesterday....additionally, Ray did a job representing them when I first met him at a Piru X3 Match with Randy. Let me shoot his gun and did nothing but promote his Glock and Glockworx all the way...just my .02
