    Glockworx: Warning

First I'd like to say, Ray Wong of Glockworx is a good guy.

Their products however, I have a gripe with. 3 Issues - TRIGGER, FP SAFETY, REFINISHING

I had stippling, refinishing w/ lightening cut window, Ultimate Fulcrum trigger job w/ tuning done to my Glock 23 @ Glockworx.

I bought a slide from lone wolf and had them install Amerigo Operator night sights, which arrived marred and crooked, shame on you LWD. Called them they asked for pictures and really didn't seem to care. I decided I would find someone more reputable.

Enter Glockworx. I called Ray and he agreed to meet me at a range about an hour away from base. The guy has a great demeanor and seemed trustworthy. I have him my gun and he took it back to his shop. Stippling was decent, not exactly what I had asked for, but he gave me more of an expensive package so how could I complain? He offered me a one time discount in recognition of my service and it helped since I was over $1000 into parts and services up to this point.

Trigger - This Fulcrum trigger has issues. It breaks clean, but hesitates on reset. If you exercise any variation of proper follow through, half the time the trigger wont follow your finger back to start, it will stick. I have read similar forums and didn't listen, my bad. $220.00 (Trigger Parts) later I am stuck with an unreliable firearm.

Titanium FP safety - Stupid problem. When I went to install the slide with the new FP safety, the triger bar would hit it and prevent the slide from traveling rearward.. I had to depress the FP safety and shake the pin FWD to allow the slide to be accomodated for assembly. Maybe the LWD slide? Nope. Same issue w/ Factory slide. Glockworx blamed LWD's slides for potentially being out of tolerance, LWD said they are FOS. You decide.

Refinish - I had a top window install and refinish with Glockworx' proprietary Z92 finish which is supposed to be ridiculously hard and resilient. NOT ONLY WAS A GASH IN THE SLIDE WHEN IT ARRIVED... I slid it into a serpa holster and the surface visibly rubbed off! WTF, OVER! HOLSTER WEAR WITH ONE SWIPE. Ray said it could be surface material from the holster. NOPE. DO NOT GET THIS FINISH!

CONCLUSION: Overall I wanted all these issues corrected. The trigger issues and FP safety issues existed before I sent them to GLockworx, and to my suprise existed upon return. I was so excited to receive this gun back, as it was a post-deployment present to myself. I couldn't believe the trigger issues and all that still existed, I think the worst part was I was never called and told the conclusion or findings of the work. I had to call and ask all of the WTF happened questions after receipt of the firearm, that should never be an issue! Ray gave me a good deal on the work, but my endstate is a gun with a bunk trigger, that must be assembled with a chicken dance, and a F'ed up finish. Stippling and top window were good but what the hell can I do with that?

Thank you for your service. What was wrong with the pistol before hand before you decided to replace factory components? Aside from a cosmetics standpoint, in particular stippling, what was your ultimate intentions with it? As with most factory parts, there is a specific reason why Glock uses the parts they use, and all have been tested extensively. Good luck but I would of just left it alone.

This is very unfortunate. As I stated when I meet you at the range I believed the issue with the firing pin safety is due to the firing pin channel on the aftermarket lone wolf side you purchased. The depth of the firing pin channel is not correct. Whatever the case the firing pin safety is still functional you just need to take an extra step when you install the slide onto the frame. The cause again is not the firing pin safety it is your slide. Your trigger is completely functional and all factory safeties are working correctly. Regarding the reset issue I was not able to duplicate it at the range, at our shop, and I returned it to you functioning properly.
I don't know what more we can do. Per your request I drove 3 hours to meet you at the range. I spent time diagnosing your gun, determined it was not our product but offered to fix it for you. I threw in extra work no charge because you are a member of the military. I installed and laser bore sighted your sights which lone wolf did not install correctly no charge. I installed tuned, tested, and functioned fire your trigger. I gave you a price break on our gun smithing services (top window) and expedited it to the top of our gun smithing list for the fasted turn around.
Regarding the black DLC coating we send that out to an outside vendor as we do not do that in house. The coating is rated at 90 rockwell but it is not imprevious to damage and much of it can be due to the substrate underneith (lone wolf slide). I can have it recoated in another finish such as black ceracoat if you wanted a thicker coating, or send it in for another coating of black DLC.

Honestly you are not a very pleasant customer to deal with. I will not go into detail as I believe that would be unprofessional.

Since you did not purchase the trigger directly from us please contact Glockstore if you want a refund. They will gladly take it back even though there is nothing wrong with it. We will in turn credit it back to them on their next order.

Also anyone who wished to purchase the trigger from you, Glockworx will transfer our full warranty on the trigger of course.

My dealings with Ray and the GW crew have been without issue and their products top notch. In fact, my carry guns have GW parts in them; that's how much I trust them. It sounds like you built an aftermarket slide and it didn't function properly. Ray gave you a diagnosis (out of spec slide), fixed the mistakes made by LWD, gave you a really good deal, and went through a bit of personal inconvenience in the form of a three hour drive to help you out. Did you even bother to pick up the phone and call Ray before you posted a thread titled, "Glockworx: Warning"?

Ray...we can read the OPs post and get the drift that you went above and beyond helping him out.

I've seen nothing but HAPPY CUSTOMERS on shooters who use Glockworx triggers and components. There's a reason people buy these quality items from you; THEY WORK.

We GLOCK fans wish you continued success in the coming New Year..!

He didn't mention any details. However, giving clarity to a situation is the professional way to avoid confusion. JMO sir.

This is exactly how I feel, if I continued to run the Glock platform I'd send it to Glockworks for the works.

I've never heard of Glockworx before, but after seeing Yar's post, it seems they go above and beyond for their customers. I think I will be contacting them for some enhancements to my 3rd Gen Glock 21.
