Agreed on some Bay Area dealers trying to overcharge on SSE fees and only allow buying guns directly from them.

I've found that MP Arms, Digital Instincts and Tracy Rifle & Pistol all have fair prices. Table Rock Arms in Oregon could be another option if seller won't ship to CA.

Scott will quote you the price on the phone. I was there last Friday to purchase my M&P Pro and saw quite a few XDMs on the shelf

            probably a stupid question ... but ...

due to the micro stamping issue in Cali, is it possible to DROS the handguns that have recently fallen off roster - via SSE?

              Yes, if it's not AW.

Any chance we can add on a Section 6 which shows friendly vendors outside of CA that are willing to ship SSE handguns to our willing SSE FFL's here?

I know grabagun.com and Kentucky Gun Co (kygunco.com) are but would like to see if you guys know of more.

                    Thanks!

Good idea! Been calling around near dozen FFLs who have far better xdm 5.25 prices than the $900 Cali shops charge and nearly all freak out when they hear California. Some never heard of SSE or worry bout the hi cap mags. I feel like a salesman trying to convince them.

The magazines definitely are another thing to worry about. I believe some shops won't even ship the mags. Since many magazines are in the $20-$60 range each, best case scenario would be to find a vendor that not only ships SSE candidate guns, but also has no issues shipping the magazines as well. Then on our end a CA FFL that has the high capacity mag permit and will do the SSE as well as block the standard cap mags into 10 rounders.

What I've found so far as far as vendors shipping off roster hand guns to CA (no info on shipping standard "high" cap magazines) are as follows.

NOTE: Contact them to confirm their current policies on shipping off roster handguns to CA.

                        grabagun.com
                        kygunco.com

According to this thread, but not confirmed personally,

                        osagecountyguns.com
                        bigdeezguns.com
                        impactguns.com
                        xpressguns.com on gunbroker.com

And according to posts on this thread

                        onlinegundeals.com - The Exchange
                        lanbosarmory.com
tombstonetactical.com - EDIT: 2-7-2014 Will ship mags over 10 rounds to FFL's with large capacity permits
                        volusiatopgun.com
                        migunslingers.com

                        Good luck!

If the magazine is being shipped to a CA FFL who has a so-called large capacity magazine permit, then there is no need to take the magazine apart.

The only reason in the past to take the magazine apart was because then it was not considered a magazine and there were no restrictions on what could be done with it.

I'm a bit out of the loop, i work to much. Can someone refresh my memory, was their a proposed bill in 2013 vetoed that was intended to stop the SSE?
