+1 Agree w/ "stphnman20" on Proper Grip = No more Brass Burns. Unless the brass bounces back off the wall, lane divider.

My reply was jackass-ish on purpose... but i didn't expect 3rd degree burns bad... i was expecting the usual white-scar of a hot piece of metal... Altough i do find it funny that the burn scar is "complete" when you close your eye... proof that you're at least quick enough to close your eye in time.

Follow the advice of the other posters... check your extractor (i watch glocks consistently throw brass back and right when they work) and check your grip.

I'm joking of course, that's pretty knarly. I've gotten my fair share of shell burns, but nothing that bad. Kudos dude, you've got the stones to take it like a man.

Damn, That is pretty bad. I have had some burns, but not like that. Just be lucky that your glock hand grenade didn't blow up and throw fragments into your eye.

Last time I shot my 1911 I had a hot casing bounce off the wall and come to rest right on top of my safety glasses, burned the piss out of my temple and I had a burn mark there for a week. There was also one time where I got nailed right in the forehead with a .50AE casing out of my Desert Eagle. Didn't burn me but it felt like someone whacked me in the head with a ballpeen hammer.

When brass is flying towards your face while shooting, that means your have a limp wrist. Meaning your not holding the Glock firm enough. take a handgun class or learn from this:

While hot brass is part of being a gun owner and shooting enthusiast, I would have to agree that this is a symptom of limp wristing your firearm.....
