    Me too.

Man up... Hat up... We all get a warm kiss from a piece of brass at the range at some point or other; Although, i've never had one that was self inflicted without some interesting ricochet action going on. I'd rather it be brass, than a subcompact pistol cutting apart the web of my thumb with its slide.

9mm burns aren't as bad as .45 burns.

      Ouchies.

You also might want to try some more form fitting glasses along with the hat suggestions.

Assuming a proper stance and grip, about the only time cases come straight back is if the extractor is chipped. Well behaved Glocks throw the brass back and to the right. check the case above my right wrist

my xd did the same to me, .40 case between my glasses and my temple. had a hat on, and my pistol 99.9% of the time kicks em out to the right and back. still caught it, burnt long enough for a perfect outline on my head. it happens, and it will probably happen again.

I had one sudden trip to the range where I had an adventure with brass. I say sudden cause a buddy called and asked me if I wanted to go and I had to leave immediately. Of course I'm in shorts, not optimal. At the range, I was still very new to handguns, I had nearly every casing come back and strike me in the forehead. I'm sure it was my stance and grip and not his Glock but I just found it more funny than anything. I had some pretty awesome battle burns on my forehead. I also was in the middle of a mag and felt something hit my ankle hard. It stung bad and I was instantly bleeding. I'm guessing I got the raw end of some shrapnel from the idiot nearby who get hitting his target holder. Pretty interesting day but no crying. Like everyone else suggests, try a hat and maybe a new grip or stance.

Gotta have a hat and well fitting glasses. It seems to me that if a case is getting lodged inside your eye pro then it isn't being worn properly or just doesn't fit.

                    here's pics

If I didn't close my eye, it would've burned my eye ball. Then I can only keep crying out of one eye.

When brass is flying towards your face while shooting, that means your have a limp wrist. Meaning your not holding the Glock firm enough. take a handgun class or learn from this:

Damn dude! That is a serious burn mark on your eyelid there. Good thing you closed your eye! Hope it heals fast. And I will go with everyone else's suggestion to wear a hat next time.

That's a nasty injury for pistol shooting!

Grip that gun like your life depends on it. In all other cases, try another stance. IMHO, weaver is a an outdated stance, it lived its days many decades ago, but with the evolution of firearms also came the evolution of superior shooting stances. Weaver will also cost you your life in a gunfight, just FYI.

The fate of the wounded rest in the hands of the ones who apply the first dressing.
