I need a sten mag. I only have the tapco. Where is a good place to get one?

The only places I have seen real sten mag rebuilds are USMachinegun for $25 or Norse Armory for like $30 or something outrageous. The ones Cope's has are 20 rounders made into single stacks out of 32 round bodies.

Thanks for the info we are aware of PRK selling the Masterpiece line and they are great outfit to work with . Masterpiece builds a rock solid firearm we have been a Masterpeice dealer for 6 or more years and very pleased with the product .

The USMachinegun refinished sten mags are the best ones I've seen so far. I rebuilt all 3 of my old rusted sten mags using them. $32 but well worth it.

On the MPA's is the side cocker better than the top & why?
I put a deposit down on one while I'm waiting for my 1-per 30 day to expire & have time to change my order. Oh ya the main reason I'm buying one is Barbra f-ng Boxer did a press release last week wanting to ban them...

Well that's a good reason to get one, that's why I got mine because I knew it would be happening one of these days. The only difference of the top and side cocker is the side has the rail for mounting a red dot. The sights are pretty rugged, so if you want to spend the money and get a red dot it wouldn't be a bad idea. Personally, I like the streamlined, traditional look more of the top cocker. It still shoots great to a point, but the gun is obviously more about firepower than precision.

I bought mine with the side cocker and then ordered the top cocker and now have both. I use the top cocker mre because I like the action and it's more fun to me to shoot. The side cocker doesn't move at all and the top cocker goes back and forth with every shot. I am actually going to buy another next month. I have the mpa 930 and plan on getting the mpa 10 next

I got mine from Colby down in Solana Beach. He has both the metal and Tapco plastic mags...both rebuild and 10/30mags. The plastic 10/30mag they gave me just has a pop rivet in it.

Yeah, but if you order a rebuild kit it comes in pieces and covered it grease. Do you know the best way to clean that off and make them a 10/30?

If they are anything like the surplus stens I got from Cope's you will need some towels, q-tips, and some time. It was a frigging mess. Had to put some paper towels through the body to clean out the mess in there. Horrible. Use towels you are ok with throwing away.
