Any comparisons between the Sten vs Tapco mags? Are there other mags that also work?

You can have one. There's nothing illegal about it. It's even detachable. Check out my muzzle device. Cam lock.
IMO the Tapco mags suck. Original Sten, all the way. If there are other "sten" reproductions, I'm sure they'll work, but otherwise, no. No other(Uzi, PM11, etc) mags will work. Unless you mean the MPA10 .45. Where did you buy the top cocking upper from? USMG? I ask because I have been on the fence about getting a secondary top cocking upper to compliment my side charger.
Would like to get it equipped with a non threaded barrel, but no one can tell me if having a barrel less than 6" is legal. I made a thread regarding this issue a while back and I am still waiting for feedback.

A cam lock is a muzzle attachment that is non-threaded, yet allows attachment of a safety extension. It was specifically engineered to work with the MPA line of safety extensions.
Contact PRK Arms. They have this part (not available anywhere else) to convert your standard, big ugly muzzle brake, MPA930.
It's also available for other applications. Anything with a 1/2-28 thread (standard AR 223 thread)
