Just read your last post and I thought I'd let you know that Ruger now has an SR9c! I have the regular sized Ruger SR9 and that thing is rock solid! The SR9c looks like a super nice gun too! Sorry to interrupt!!!

The wife 'stole' my Bersa from me, lol. Very nice pistol and it shoots well. No problem with getting .380 here in the Roseville/Rocklin area.


Yep, I like my Glock and XD just fine ... very well made and great pistols all around. I just like my standard SR9 better.

I was all set to buy a Glock 26 or Kahr PM9 as a carry piece, until I saw the announcement of the SR9C. I am glad I waited. The Glock 26 seems clunky and big by comparison. The Kahr PM9 is slim and small, but seems almost too much so. I also didn't really dig the DA trigger pull, although it is every bit as nice as any revolver to be sure ... very smooth, just didn't prefer the DA.

The SR9C is slim and fits sooo danged well in my hand. The trigger is beautiful. I get mine out of jail on 06-07-2010 ... open, open, open.

How much did you pay for the SR9C?

My Bersa is great. It can be a little finnicky with ammo I've found though.

Me too! You'll pay more for it then you will for a Bersa, but??? People are correct about .380 ammo too! It's a bit trickier to find! I hit up Walmart too and have actually not seen any there! 9mm at WM has never really been a problem to get when I've needed it. .380 ammo is out there, but you just need to be in the right place at the right time...and spend some time on the phone. The Big 5 by my house has some in stock as I type this. Just hung up with em... 1 phone call and I found some... So, it's around!

I paid $479 so that I can be among the first, lol. I imagine they will be available at $400 to $430 in a year.

my brother has the bersa, its a very good conceal carrey weapon, can fit in my back pocket and wont be noticed, however when we first got it jammed wayy to much, but now its broken in and seems to be better then before but jams every now and then, the accuracy is also horrible.

hahahahahha...Yes, I am going to check it out tomorrow for sure. I have held the Bersa and it felt good in my hand (which is small.) The XD feels a bit big and probably is for my size but I'm getting used to it.

Owned one before. It's good for what it is. Very concealable. Lots of safeties and a built in gun lock. It's a good backup gun, or specialty gun. You can toss it a backpack with other stuff in it and so long as the lock is engaged not worry about it going off, which brings to mind all kinds of other goofy applications where another gun would be a bad idea. Would not want it to be my primary however. It wins out big time on concealability, and loses out big time on shootability. The trigger is heavy as hell and stiff (on the DA pull), the size makes working the controls and controlling it while shooting it a chore. But these complaints can be made about every single gun in its class. I would definately own one, but as backup to my Glock. The caliber alone worries me about making it a primary. However it is the kind of gun you could stash in really unusual places...which is a concept I like even if I would never actually need to do it.

I have a Bersa thunder 380 and a Kahr P380 and so far my Bersa has had no problems at all and my Kahr is about to go to the shop if she doesnt start behaving. I love my Bersa and if she was as small as the Kahr I would carry that everyday. I think my Kahr just needs to be broke in more and I did buy my Bersa used so it was already good to go and it's an older one without the key lock by the trigger. As far as accuracy the Bersa shoots great, I love that gun and can shoot it all day but just a little to big for my standards to carry. You will not be disappointed with your Bersa. Great buy for the money, so far my $245 Bersa out performs my $730 Kahr.

If concealability is your concern then the G26 is smaller than the SR9c in every dimension. The SR9c is closer in size to the G19 than anything else.

I was also shopping for a CCW gun and I was trying to decide between the Kahr PM9, Bersa 380, Sig P6 and CZ RAMI. I'm a slim guy and it's hard to wear a gun on my hip without it printing. I took a look at all these guns and it came down to the Bersa .380 and the CZ RAMI because they both seemed smaller and easier to carry for me. I ended up buying the CZ RAMI in 9mm because I already have another 9mm pistol and the ammo is easy to find unlike the .380. The CZ is about the same dimensions as the Bersa, but it feels just a little bit bulkier.

I still may buy a Bersa Thunder .380 in the future (that's what my wife wants anyway), but the CZ RAMI is a pretty good subcompact that I'd recommend checking out if you can.
