i am in the process of building two more AR style rifles although I already own one but each gun is going to be different in fact I am thinking one will have no evil features so I can use larger magazines that I already possess i bought some years ago even though I did not own a gun because I planned to someday. I have one 1911 pistol and I am already planning on my next one!Comment

Closest I come to the multiple gun thing is Ruger pistolseries.
I have a
Ruger P85 MkII
Ruger P90
And I had but sold
Ruger P89
Ruger P90 ( second one)
Ruger P345 ( didnt care for that one as far as handling/feel) but it was accurate as hell
Reason I have Rugers is because I actually like them. Great guns for the price, reliable and accurate.Comment

You mean there are people on Calguns that don't own multiple AR's? I thought that was required for membership?
Seriously the AR platform is so versatile owning several is easy, each tailored for slightly different tasks, while sharing parts and mags. I plan on owning multiple 1911's (of both Colt and Swiss flavors) Don't even get me started on Mausers......You need a CZ-24, a Yugo, a K-98, a Nazi Marked one.....and that's just the basic 8mm flavor, there are many more. Granted there may be subtle differences like the 1911 for Wild Bunch won't have the Fiber Optic Sights like you'd put on an IDPA gun. Still same gun, same mag, same guts........

I have multiple 1911's. One is set up for Bullseye Hardball, one for wadcutters, I'm going to put a .22 barrel & slide on one and eventually I'll get around to building a tactical officers model.
Oh and two 225's. One I bought because I wanted it. The other one because I couldn't pass up on the deal and will probably give it to my daughter once she is finished with school.sigpic

I own multiple S&W revolvers, mainly K frames. I am fixing to DROS yet another. They are each unique in their own way, even though they may be of same frame and similar / identical calibers.
That's why it's called a "disease".

why would people own the same guns.
why have 1 when you can own many of the same. haha.
i have 3 92fs, 2 kimbers, 2 FN 5.7, i don't even want to get into M1 Garands.I am offically a gun nut!!!!!Comment

I have a bunch of Mosins, but that's just because they're cheap and each is a little different (round receiver vs hex, tula vs izzy, etc etc).
I wouldnt buy 2 identical black Glock 17's though. Maybe if one was a black 1st gen and another was an OD 4th gen, but even that's pushing it.Originally posted by luchador768We also had a lot of wannabe gangsters putting the display pistols down thier pants to "try them on.". If you bought a display handgun from the Riverside Turners in the 1990's there's a greater than average chance that there is cholo crotch on it.Comment

Depends on the sport. For cowboy action shooting two revolvers is required. And I like shooting something different each match, sooo two 1860,1851, walkers, dragoons, LeMats, etc. Plus stuff breaks in those matches so back up rifles and shotguns.
For Bianchi I have a S&W 41 for me and one for my wife...TURNING and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.
