Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

If we put any of them in CCW as P320/FA320/2A320, will this matter if we change slide/barrel or grip module? Or we have to put particular configuration on permit and stay with that? This obviously applies to P365.sd_shooter:

That depends on the IA. They all have their own rules. I'm in San Bernardino Co and they only care that the make, model, serial number and calibre match. I have carried my P320 dressed as a subcompact and a compact, the way I bought it.I have related/unrelated question for gurus. Any of Sig/FA/2A guns configuration is open item. For the gurus.... say my dad and I both bought CA320s, could we do an intra-familia transfer to each other and list them as semi auto?LA CCW:

Yes you can. Keep in mind that the DOJ takes their sweet time doing these types of transfers. So, if you're doing it to get it listed on your CCW you may want to do a PPT.

Great! LASD will not allow addition or amendment of firearms on the permits currently, so have to wait 2 years anyways to do that...LA CCW:

Yeah, but the existence of the CA320 and the 2A versions pretty much kills the aftermarket for an off roster P320. Grip modules are what, 40-60 bucks? Gun shops are showing the CA320 for about 850 street price, way less than the off roster ones.Depends on the issuing agency.
Some are a stickler about the gun being in the same configuration (no modifications) as it was first sold.
The flippers are concerned with getting a gun documented as a semi-auto to be able to re-sell it for profit.
Some FFL's won't transfer a handgun that is a different configuration than it was last DROSed so the flippers are busy re-DROSing their converted 320's to be able to then sell than with a copy of the DROS showing that they got the gun as a semi-auto to somehow justify their higher asking prices.Comment

Lots of people are still buying off-roster though because they DROS as semi-autos and there's no extra steps or concerns about conversion post DROS.Randall Rausch

Yep. I paid $1100 for a P365 but I knew there would be no issues putting it on my ccw. I?m all for supporting the great minds of our dealers/mfgs but for my purpose I felt it was best to go my route.Comment

Quoting this from another thread... I'm sure just more gun store FUD..
Just an FYI... At Turner's in Santa Clarita yesterday (4/24) doing a PPT on a P320 Compact (Actual Sig). the employee asked if it was a "FA CA320?"
After confirming it was an original all SIG P320 with SIG case and sticker matching serial# to FCU etc. I asked "why that mattered?," he told me "the CA DOJ is aware of the FA CA320 and people attempting to re-DROS them as semi-auto OEM SIG's, and if a FA 320 serial# gets entered into the DROS system it would stop the process and result in criminal charges."
To be clear, this is not me providing advice or guidance, this is me relaying the words I heard coming from a Turner's employee that was about to preform a PPT. Whether this is actually the case or not, legal or not etc. is not for me to say!LA CCW:

i think people who use sig 320 should wear a vest so we can identify them ad stay away from them. don't want to be shot by them because they sat down and bumped the gun wrongComment
