sounds like you "over rode" the rear slide rails causing the slide to get stuck? you need to give it a firm hit on the back of the slide to knock it loose.

use a rubber mallet to tap it off

Definitely could be that... also reseat the RSA... remove it and reorient the recoil spring assembly in case it is binding.

I have four Glocks out of commission right now. Over rode the rear rails. Till I can get them to the gun smith on Monday. Damn Glocks. Never have that with my XD's or 1911's.

Push the safety plunger in and make sure that the striker is in the "fired" position. Try that...

Damn straight! SIGs have a little lever you swing, and it's apart. No stupid tiny finger-shredding nubs you need 3 hands for. The slide slides on and off without any stupid rituals or witchcraft.

Anyway, I found a better thread than this one that told me how to fix it. I had to push on a little round button in the slide. What an idiotic design!

If SIG made a 13 round .45 I'd get rid of this garbage in a hurry.

Which button is that, Sig??? I used to have 2 Glocks, sold them both away. But from memory, there is no button to push in the SLIDE.
