both those guns are by companies that are european. that still seems counter to your ideals of "buy american".

anyways back the LAPD getting new pistols. cause we push the BLM / other anti-cop groups to create outcry at why LAPD is issuing pistols that CA DOJ deems unsafe to their officers? and the subliminal messaging is that LAPD will use this unsafe guns to shoot black people.

i mean sure, it seems backhanded and a "cut off nose to spite someone" tactic, but if it gets even some attention into the ridiculousness of the gun roster, it might help in any legal case to strike down the roster.

Just got my 509 out of jail

The factory trigger is straight up garbage

An Apex trigger is gonna be necessary

Gun owners in California haven't been able to prevent outrageous gun laws from being imposed so why would some attention to what the police are allowed/not allowed to carry help anything? Serious question.

The general public doesn't give a rats rear end what kind of pistol LAPD or any other PD carries. There are motor officers riding down the streets and freeways with AR platform rifles on racks in plain view - does the general public care or even blink? They just go about their usual days of checking the mailbox for a government check, checking their new gen instrcrap/fecesbook and twatter platforms to see who the next influencer is and to make sure none of their virtual friends gave them the finger.

This entire we want to have what the police have disregards the fact that much of the equipment they have costs 10x or more than what it's worth, the processes into deciding what is bought is frought with corruption and just give me the shiny new gadget and without an entire section dedicated to keep the stuff working it practically falls apart.

The police and the roster have zip to do with each other.

No one cares what gun the LAPD uses except groupies and wannabes.

Who else doesn't care one iota? Judges as in the ones that would decide if the roster is constitutional or if the way it is implemented is complete arbitrary and lacking any good.

The only thing left that will affect much when it comes to gun laws is SCOTUS if they see some light and if gun owners in California formed a voting bloc that acting in cooperation to the point that it's influence would be enough to change the types of people in the legislature and every PD Chief and County Sheriff in the state. The problem has always been the "I have mine so thats all I care about" attitude among the voting public in California. No one wants to lose that free stuff.

Don't worry, it will never pass...How in the hell did that pass?

Think past your gun, it's the last resort, the first is your brain.

What's LAPDs criteria for replacing a functioning firearm?

Wear and tear, length of service, number of rounds through the action, change in caliber, increase the magazine capacity, want to look "cool" with new firearm that nobody else in Kommiefornica can purchase or just want to spend taxpayer monies?
I seriously doubt any LAPD officer has POSSSIBLEY put more then several 1000 rds through their firearm?
I don't understand the need to buy new firearms if the current ones are serviceable. I don't follow FN's are they even made in the USA?

Guess i just don't "get it".

I assume they want to incorporate red dots for their officers....as it is great for point shooting.

If thats the case then nothing for us, since the M&Ps fell off Roster a while back.

LAPD issues the M&P but they were issuing Glock 22’s under Chief Bratton. I don’t understand why they just don’t stay with the Glocks. They worked beautifully.
