What the hell...1911

I owned an SA 1911 GI for a brief period of time.

Shot it three times. Didn't really care for it. It wasn't as accurate as my USP, and a bit small for my hands.

But now, while looking in the For Sale forum, I want another one.

What gives? Is the 1911 built with crack in the grip that's absorbed via the skin?

1911s are like Harley-Davidson motorcycles... there is just something about them. Never mind you can find something lighter, better performing, or cheaper. They are just so... American!

Happened to me too. I bought a Glock and an HK Expert thinking I would never use my 1911s again, didn't happen. I always come back to my 1911s, there's just no other handgun that fits my hand better.

Depending on what I find first, my next gun will either be a nice .357 revolver or a 1911.

My room mate always complains about how hard his SA 1911 GI is to strip and clean though...

There is just something about the 1911s that makes one absolutely love them. Remember, the only way to get rid of temptation is to give into it.
