Remind me - how many rounds have your run that setup? The SI slide is reliable even with the KKM barrel (which is quite tight)...?

I'd have full confidence in an aluminum or titanium shell on a Holosun.

              I like simplicity.

I tried the red dot on mine. It was fun.

Eventually I switched back to a good old Trijicon HD Night Sight set (the front dot is red color, hey! )

Glock 30sf only because I prefer a .45 round with a sub compact frame. I have RMR Glocks but prefer the Glock 30sf. To each his own, you go with what works for you.

Looking at my trusty excel spreadsheet I have 25.7K rounds through the gun itself. 18K rounds through the RMR slide (bought the RMR in 2018, no battery change yet tho). I have 6K rounds through the KKM barrel.

I haven't had any problems with the KKM....just dropped it in and started shooting. Its been a transparent addition, no hiccups.

True. Its another gun project and I'd have to do a lot of homework....especially, finding someone who can do good work.

In either case, I love shooting my 1911s with iron sights. I shoot better with my Les Baer and Springfield custom at 25 yards than my rmr glock....MUCH better. Its counter intuitive, but I think its because I shoot 50/50 1911 iron sights and glock rmr when I go to the range. I love them both equally. But my iron sighted 1911s shoot tighter groups from close in all the way out to 25y. For me, I think a good chunk of the difference is the good triggers on my 1911s. I think, deep down, there isn't a compelling need for me to go to RMR on my 1911s, things are great the way they are. I am willing however, to sacrifice the slide on my 9mm loaded target lol...that can be a future side project.

I know there are people out there who think a red dot on their pistol is their ticket to good shooting. They think if they get that on their gun, their pistol shooting will get better. They don't realize what many of us know....that a red dot doesn't make up for poor trigger technique and poor grip.

I really want to try (but can't due to roster) P320 XCompact RXP. Shoot a 1911 for USPSA as my primary division, so all of my dryfire is centered around a 1911 index with iron sights. Would love to have a gun that shares the exact same index, particularly a red dot sighted gun

Already did. Walther PDP Full Size. Waiting for Walther to send the plate so I can attach a Vortex Viper RD.

Sage dynamics would say otherwise, they abused the hell out of a 507.

I run a Sig Romeo Zero on my Springfield Hellcat. The battery life is less than ideal, but other than that, its a lot of fun. Very easy to shoot.
