Buy a cheap gun get a Glock leg.

Or fry your nuts if you appendix carry.

But, don't you forget. It is all perfection.

Don't other striker fired guns just fire randomly without anything in the trigger? Maybe we should do away with striker fired guns and go back to SA revolvers.

Nothing could ever go wrong carrying a dinosaur auto cocked and locked right? If it goes off it is the gun's fault hahahah.

Yes, I stand by my original statement that any ND of a Glock is on the user.

In those examples you shared , the user allowed something to enter the trigger guard area and they pulled the trigger with that object.

Edit: good reason for OP to get coaching on whatever platform they end up getting.

If you carry a 1911 it is only a matter of time before you do this.

If you don't believe a 1911 45 can fire from being dropped,It happened to me about 15 minutes ago,I was in the bathroom and as I pulled my shirt up to set my gun on the sink the shirt had got caught between the gun and my crossbreed holster as the shirt came up so did the gun and I watched it drop barrel first on my tiled concrete floor then I heard bang and thought OH DANG but with an S.My ears weren't ringing but there was a shunk of tile missing and a chip out of the edge of the bathtub,If you look at the picture you can see powder burns from the muzzle around the hole in the tile.I did get a small cut from shrapnel on my ankle and I had to put a band aid on it.I know the safety was engaged in the holster but i believe when the weapon was pulled from the holster and started to drop it was disengaged.Thank god nothing worse happened but the bullet was smashed flat and the copper jacket was in the tub and the lead was in the toilet.I gotta tighten up the retention on my holster and make sure i never get my shirt wedged between the gun and holster in the future.

It wasn't that statement I was disputing, it was the other statement you made. I bolded it to make it more obvious but I'll make it even more obvious:

That bolded statement is clearly incorrect, as the examples I provided proved. Any inanimate object that puts pressure on a Glock's trigger can make it fire. That doesn't happen with a handgun that has an engaged manual safety, or one that has a double-action first trigger pull.

Modern 1911s with the Series 80 type firing pin block prevent that from happening.

            Revolvers are not pistols

pistol nouna handgun whose chamber is integral with the barrel
Calling a revolver a "pistol" is like calling a magazine a "clip", calling a shotgun a rifle, or a calling a man a woman.

"Pulling the trigger" is usually understood by most people to mean activating the trigger with your finger. In the examples I described their Glocks discharged when they were adjusting their clothing or turning their torso after putting on a seat belt. Not only were their fingers not "pulling the trigger", their hands weren't even holding their Glocks. It's quite a stretch to say they were "pulling the trigger".

First of all, the DEA 100% pulled the trigger. You need to remove that video to even begin your point. Second, the gun owner is unequivocally responsible when he or she carelessly allows something like a drawstring, pen, or floppy piece of gun leather to enter into the trigger guard and pull the trigger. Use a good kydex holster, practice safe and proper draw/re-holster technique, and remember the Four Rules.

Weapons are inherently unsafe. Only a fool would think otherwise.

Turnabout is fair play. You play semantics with "safeties," he plays semantics with "pull the trigger."

And that is why handguns are supposed to have a thumb safety. So that they do not go bang if something (other than your finger wanting yo shoot) accidentally got into the trigger guard.

I agree it's incorrect to say Glocks have no safeties. Glocks have safeties, they are just inadequate in my opinion.

And for the record, I own two G17s (a Gen 1 and a Gen 5), a G19 Gen 4, and a G40 Gen 4 MOS, so I don't hate Glocks. I just acknowledge that contrary to Glock's marketing slogan, they are not exactly "perfection".

Have all discussions in Handguns devolved into semantics of late, or is it just this one?
