Don't listen to this guy. He's just messing with you.

That's the Glock 7. Fullsize 5" barrel. Made of porcelain, so it doesn't show up on airport x-ray machines. Costs more than you make in a month. LEO only, of course.

      No. Thats not it.

It is the Glock 1911. This is the reason Chuck Norris became the spokesperson for Glocks.

      Happened on Apr. 1st, 2019.

Jeniva, welcome to the forum. I really like 9mm 1911s, they fit my hand well and shoot great. The triggers are awesome. Ended up getting a gorgeous custom by Mr. Bruce Gray. It's really something.

That said, while i really was never attracted to Glock products having always felt they were blocky and plasticky, i did ultimately purchase one for a class that required a fully stock (unmodified) pistol. I chose a model 34 and surprisingly it's really grown on me. They shoot great, are very accurate and have proven incredibly reliable.

As many have advocated, taking a class is particularly beneficial. It very quickly helps guide you efficiently, safely and comfortably with the art and sport. It took us from shooting shotgun like patterns to nice tight groups in a very short time, safely and with great regularity.

There are probably a lot of awesome instructors out there, we started with Mr. Bruce Gray, Jerry Jones, Scott Folk and the OpSpecTraining group...the class is called Practical Fundamentals. I've since taken the class several times. Fundamentals are not just for beginners but it's awesome for beginners as well as experienced shooters if you're willing to learn.

Jeniva said it was for defense and is a new shooter. Therefore, the default answer of "9mm Glock 19 class" handgun is the logical choice.
