Much more "realistic" threat than the Democracks? I think the biggest threat confronting gun owners at the moment is Biden and Harris. They've already said they are going to TAKE your assault weapons. If elected they will have a MANDATE to do it. And by assault weapons they mean semi-auto ANYTHING.

THAT is an existential threat you cannot avoid by moving out of Commiefornia. And of course they will go after the ammo if they can't get the weapons. They'll do something like making lead ammo illegal, or tax ammo, or require ammo to be registered.

When there are Jack As&es like John Roberts in on the court anything could happen. Not to mention packing the court with nut ball liberals.

Well, right now, there is a GEN3 G19 on there for $900 no shipping. Which I think is stupid BTW because with some work one can find a cooperating FFL to receive on roster pistols from Gunbroker and national level prices.

Then a few posts from that is a G48 (yes 48) only at $1150 (yes only 1150) and to my surprise no takers yet on the G48.

Does the G48 suck or something? The reason I'm interested is I think it would be a great platform for my young boys to get to Glock matches with a pistol they can control if I make it "Unlimited" by reducing the recoil spring and making it a puff shooter.

What is wrong the the G48 is the capacity of the factory magazines. But, since we are limited to 10 anyway, it's moot. G48 and G19 appeals to two different audiences—respectively CCW and general use (which includes home defense). I think right now most of the panic buying is intended for home defense, which puts high demand on G19s. Buyers at $900+ are stupid in multiple ways. They didn't plan. They kicked the can and put it off. Now they want one now! now! now! Stock replenishment is sparse, but the patient buyer can find new G19s at normal prices. Problem is most of these buyers are not patient. Eventually people will run out funds, max out their credit, and the panic buying will run out of steam. No one knows when that will happen. We just know it will. This isn't the first rodeo we've attended.

G48/G43x has 15rd mag option (not factory though), same size as 10rd. Very hard to get right now and of course in CA, impossible.

I take "Gucci" gun to mean a plain Jane gun (like a Glock) that's been dressed up with aftermarket parts, especially if the cost of the parts is 3-4x the original cost of the gun. Bonus points if at least 50% of the work done is purely cosmetic and does not improve the function or accuracy in any way. A Dan Wesson 1911 with trigger work isn't Gucci. A Rock Island 1911 that's been gold plated is.

That's only my opinion and I'm sure others will have a different definition.

Prices are only ridiculously high is because ridiculous people are paying the asking price.
I'm all for free market and all...t's not personal, it's business. However, there needs to be some better moral compasses as to how much you're charging.
But at the end of the day...an asking price doesn't always mean the end selling price.
If people stop paying for stupid prices, people will lower their stupid high prices.
Simple.

Ah but guns are something that ... once someone decides they NEED it, they will pay whatever is asked. A panicker probably wants ONE gun so they'll pay whatever is asked. The rest of us shooting enthusiasts want different guns for competition or to fill a gap in a "collection" so we are less tolerant of high prices. But a guy who decides "OMG, I NEED a a gun to protect my family! I read that it must be a Glock 9mm" and this guy will pay whatever he needs to. He's only buying one and he has no idea what "normal" prices are.
