    From personal experience...

Here is how my G19 compares to my hand size:

One could see my pinky way down the grip...

That said, in the IDPA 5x5 Classifier shot cold - I am about 1-sec faster across the 4 strings with my G17 than with my G19 (well, to be exact, about ~1.20-sec). At least for me, easier to manage the recoil with the full-size...

G19 for me. Fits my hand perfectly and capacity and size it's a winner.

Even at a 10 round limit, the G17 wins for me every time.

I shot a g19 once and hated it. I shoot 1911s mostly and do not like small handguns especially if they have a short grip. I also see no need to shoot an extra 1000 rounds just to get used to and shoot accurately with a shorty!
Shooting the g19, my pinky was hanging there looking for grip area!

          Definitly G17 over a G19 and a G34 is even better than a G17.

at one time i had both a 19 and 17. the 19 was ok but i would have to adjust my fingers to seat them properly in the grooves when drawing from a holster. sold the 19 and kept the 17. now i have two 17s.

Depends on hand size obviously but I prefer the G19 as it fits my hand less poorly than the G17.

If both fit you well and you don't plan on carrying, get the G17 since it has a longer sight radius.

Some highly skilled shooters believe the G19 is more mechanically accurate, while others believe the less reciprocating mass of the G19 slide allows for faster split times.

That's like choosing between Christie Brinkley and Cheryl Hines. I have no idea how you decide. I don't have a Glock 19 but I have a Glock 17 and a Glock 22. They both never cease to delight and amaze. I can't imagine living without either of them. Pretty soon I'm going to get a Glock 21.

19 fits my hand better, but I like them both.

Interesting that people say they like 19 because "small hands"

This guy has big hands and pretty sure he likes 19 better

                          look at his hands

These arguments are why Glock released the G19X and G45. /Thread.

Skip the G21 and get the G30 or the G41, especially the G30 for California. Gen 4 if you can track one down, or SF Gen 3 fit me best.
