AR Pistol Help

Hello all,
I recently acquired an AR Pistol and im super excited for the build. But i have a few questions....


1. What is the best ca comp kits you use? I would love for a smooth comp system that works best. Experience inputs would be amazing. I am close to running the 33.3 tac / Kingpin combo...

I have these systems:
33.3 tactical cal catch, AR Maglock gen 2,3,4 w Kingpin/Hyper switch, Juggernaut hellfighter

2. I have a law tactical folder... I know i can run this, aslong as LOP does not exceed 13.5'...
So what do you use to make this compliant? SBA3?
Do you JB weld the stock? What options are there?
How does the folder work with any of the maglock systems ?

3. Does the raddlock qualify as a ca comp system?

Don't put a stock on a pistol. It will make it an SBR.

The best thing about an SBA3 is that it can collapse. If you make it so it can't collapse you might as well use a Shockwave Blade. Be sure to get the dimpled receiver extension too.

The best thing about an SBA3 is that it can collapse. If you make it so it can't collapse you might as well use a Shockwave Blade. Be sure to get the dimpled receiver extension too.

You can do that but it's sort of the expensive route. The SBA3 is softer than the Blade, but if it's just a 5.56 the recoil is probably not going to bother you. I've shot mine with 5.56 and Blackout and wasn't bothered.

I don't believe you have to worry about the SBA3 being adjustable or not because it's not a stock...

Per BATFE...

1. An arm stablizing brace by itself is legal.

2. Installing an arm stablizing brace on a Title 1 Handgun or a Title 1 Other with the intent to use it as intended, does not change the classification of the firearm.

3. Using the arm stablizing brace as intended (strapped/brace to forearm of the trigger hand), does not change the classification of the firearm.

4. Using the arm stablizing brace in an alternative non-intended method that causes incidental or sporadic contact with the shoulder, does not change the classification of the firearm.

5. Installing an arm stablizing brace on a Title 1 Handgun or a Title 1 Other with the intent to use it as a shoulder stock, does change the classification of the firearm to a Title 2 SBR.

6. Modifying the arm stablizing brace and/or the Title 1 Handgun or Title 1 Other, in order to make it easier to shoulder, does change the classification of the firearm to a Title 2 SBR.

7. If an arm stablizing brace has a length of pull that is greater than 13.5", then it is considered a shoulder stock.

8. In order to measure the overall length of a Title 1 Handgun, Title 1 Other, or Title 2 AOW; the arm stablizing brace is removed (if it's not permanently attached) or folded/collapsed (if it's permanently attached).
^This matters when determining if it is legal under Federal laws/regulations to attach a vertical forward grip to the firearm.

None of the above is applicable to CA SBR/SBS laws.

I cringe seeing "stock" mentioned when talking about AR pistol. Forget that word when talking about AR pistol, just repeat brace, brace, brace...

Intent is everything...

I run a DB-15 in 5.56 and the recoil is NOT there. I can hold the pistol out on my outstretched arm and shoot with practically no muzzle rise at all. It is great. I also have a Hellfighter installed. I aint thrilled about it, but it DOES work.

I also run a pistol buffer tube only because that was how it came.

As for a comp, I run a cookie cutter muzzle brake, but a Fire Pig would be cool too I bet.

If you get the sba3 or another collapsible brace then use either strike industries stock stop or sb tactical plugs for the buffer tube.

Raddlock no longer qualifies as a compliance device.

You do not need to worry about the SBA3 brace as long as length of pull does not exceed 13.5" at is maximum length. It's fine if it collapses or is even foldable. It's not a stock. Its longest length, IIRC is 9.5" so you don't have to do anything to make it legal. You have a pistol. The only thing you have to be concerned with is not putting a stock on it and making sure the magazine is fixed.

The problem is the Law Tactical folder device adds an inch or two.
