Beretta 92fs Inox
Beretta 92fs Inox. You'll be glad you did. Get rid of the plastic controls and go stainless or nickel.

Just be aware that the rail does add a bit of weight, but it makes the gun look 'tactical'. I have the full size 92 FS inox and the M9A1 compact, and the compact feels heavier. Shooting them both side by side feels the same with regards to recoil and accuracy.

There is a discontinued model called the Beretta 90-two. I really like mine and you can get one for dirt cheap. Replaced hammer spring and replaced with short reach trigger.Comment

The first pistol I ever bought (notice I said bought) was a 92fs in the mid 90's. still have it and have put untold thousands of rounds through it. Bought a $200 rental 92fs because it was cheap and also ended up with a Inox a few years ago.
The original 92 is in my wife's nightstand for her to grab if needed. A little big for her hand but she's pretty damn accurate with it.Ignorance is a matter of choice and is usually cured by age, experience and education, but stupid is genetic in nature, and incurable.Comment
