The voters of SF are about to reap the benefits / pay for all the homeless "pets" they have been keeping in that city while knowingly destroying civil society and the rule of law. You can never escape the consequences of your actions / choices. Karma is the word that comes to mind.

I hope it doesnt come to pass but its possible that all those hungry, infected people with nothing to loose will become desperate...just a thought.

Were you issued a Beretta 92fs or an M9?

          I prefer the Beretta M9A1

has the rail, the beefed up trigger guard, the checkered front & rear strap

has a whole new modern look

I bought one Beretta, a 92S and have ended up with four. Along with the 92S I also have a 92FS, a Brigadier and a PX4 Storm. They are addicting.

                They're all good

OP, this is a first world problem. All of you choices are good. But if you want the BEST choice, get a 96, not a 92. The platform is just more gun than you need for 9mm. It shoots .40 beautifully.

.40 = more expensive to shoot, slightly more recoil and potentially harder to find ammo for ....

Besides it was a compromise caliber between .45 and 9mm when defense ammo wasn't as effective. .40 doesnt do anything that 9mm or 45 cant do better.

                      Voted 92FS

I'm biased since I grew up on Die Hard and Lethal weapon although in a practical sense having the rail is a plus.

I bought an Italian made 92FS way back in the ‘90s. It’s still my favorite gun. I’ve never had any kind of malfunction with it and I’d bet my life on it. It stays in the safe these days because it doesn’t have a light rail for bed side use.

                          Maybe I need a M9A1?...

It really is a no-brainer and you'll be happy with whatever incarnation you go with.

My personal favorite the Beretta 92FS Centurion...it took some time to find this LNIB example.
