9mm for a range gun. Go Police Special or USGI military type?

Can't go wrong with a 92fs. Great guns.

If you are from CA then get the M9A1 and send it to Langdon for his CA special which is available only to CA residents.
I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong...

I'd go with the Beretta 686 Silver Pigeon.

I bought two 92FS' a couple years ago, LE trade-ins from J&G Sales. $329 each, no mags. Filthy dirty, but cleaned up nicely and shoot well. The bores were pristine.

Range gun I'd go with the 92FS, for home defense the M9A1 just so you could put a light on it, or an M9A3.

If you can find all four in stock, I would take the m9a1. Slim picking right now though so good luck getting what YOU want.

All have fixed sights that can not be upgraded without going to higher cost model like the brigadier

Really that's why I posted removable front. Been long time since I owned a 92.

Having a non replaceable front sight is the only thing I dislike about my 92fs.

get the cheapest, or rail or no-rail is the question.
Bought two new: FS, Inox, and one used : M9.
For look :Inox looks the best.
                          For shoot: All the same.

92FS. Don't need a light on a range gun. Looks better without the rail.
