I read colt offer to buy a good review from hickock but couldn't meet the price he demanded so out of spite the old man did this video when colt thought they didnt buy his bluff that he'd go thru with it. What did you all think hickock does gun reviews for free? No he takes sponsorship money and deals, and good for him exploiting these money rich companies.

I don't trust Hickup all that much either.

There’s no trickery in the video. The entire video is uninterrupted and the cylinder fails on the third shot. Seems pretty obvious that there’s a design or QA flaw.

My guess is an underlying design flaw with this simplified action that was possibly overlooked, because I’m sure all passed a rigorous function test prior to packaging. If some of those five pistols were returned for cosmetic issues, that’s understandable for a $1500 gun, and modern S&W is guilty of that, too.

Besides, Pre-lock S&Ws can be had for <$1000 and aren’t difficult to find.

You realize Colt is/was bankrupt, right?

Need to add a zero or two to that number.

The RMAs for the guys on coltforum alone is way more than 5.

              Weak sauce from Colt.

BS crap about Hickok doing a bad review over money. Anyone who seriously believes that, needs to self-evaluate. I wouldn’t be going from forum to forum spreading that rumor - even by saying ‘I heard from a guy’ or ‘read on another forum’, or you could be taken for a maroon.

Did he also rig the gun so the frqking cylinder wouldn’t turn?

Bottom line, Colt does not build quality guns. They are all show and no go. Even the originals had timing issues. For collectors or casual shooters, they are fine. Real shooters will always pick a S&W.

I saw one for sale on gunbroker, it has two noticeable scratches pointed out by the seller, the opening starting bid was set at $1750.00, no bids and auction has ended.
Main cosmetic thing that I noticed is that it lacks the tasteful fluting on the backstrap. Didn't see the face of the trigger but I suspect that it also lacks matching fluting.

I really hope Colt can correct some of the noted issues and turn this one around.

Same reason Colt 1911s sell in the marketplace for $2k. Cause people think the Colt name means something. They have no better quality materials or fitting than Springfirld Armory.

But people seem to want them (Colt guns).

Also same for Colt roll marked AR 15. especially since Colt stopped selling to the public. For the price range, there are better compete rifle builders...
