The life expectancy is until you save up enough to buy your next pistol.

Demo ranch shot at it and hit the barrel. Look up garand thumb on youtube, he tossed it at a rock, and landed on the slide, then shot it twice and the slide broke in half.

Do the same tests on a $500-1000 pistol, see which fares better through it. Hi Point will come out a winner, and you won't be able to get those $500+ pistols repaired through any warranty if any.

I once was very tempted to buy one due to how inexpensive it was. Never have to clean it. If it breaks, oh well . But then, I thought about it a little more. Those things are big and clunky. They would look great on..............aliens.

I also thought of buying a HP just for fun because of the price, but I rather use the money towards a better gun

after tax & DROS a Hi Point would still cost over $200 , I rather save $200 on a new Glock , SIG , HK or something

instead of buying a HP , just think of it as a $220 discount on a better gun

So many haters. Most of them have never owned one. It's a good basic gun. Don't ask much more of it. If all you can afford is a high point, you're going to be okay.

Life expectancy is a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooog time under shelter in place with gun shops and ranges closed.

Clean, oil, and try to forget it until the emergency orders are lifted.

                          $39 is too much?

Every manufacturer makes lemons, but that does not represent what the average user gets out of a gun. And when we buy inexpensive throwaways that also needs to be factored in.
