the HI POINT pistols are not even designed for the owner to disassmble

the quality reminds me of a BIC lighter, you use them until they stop working like a disposable lighter

they are so cheap , it's not even worth sending them back in for warranty work.

Why not? They have great warranty service. And my only hi point (carbine) has been fantastic.

I have read many posts of owners happy with them. I just wonder why they designed them to be so unattractive.

I bought the .380ACP since my Ortgies is the same caliber. It was too cheap to pass up.

At least a 1000 rounds through it so far. Never had a FTF. Never had a stovepipe. Never had an issue, period. Surprising.

I like the big sights. The only issue I have with the handgun is while accuracy is good, at least 25% of the rounds go through the target paper sideways at 25 yards. It's like someone cut rectangles out of my target.

Why not send it in for repair like this guy did with his carbine...

I have one, and I can tell you from experience that you have to clean them once in a while, or they start to jam when they are dirty. At least every 500 rounds. or every 6 trips to the range. Whichever comes first.

I saw a "used" one in the store one day with a some extra magazines for $100. The magazines were worth $60 or so. So, I now have 2.

Well, there has to be some type of gun that reminds us of Kamala Harris, Hillary Clinton, Rosie, or some of those others from CNN, not to mention some of the talk show bags.

I had my carbine for 20 years, and I sent it back once because it survived a quad wreck along with me and the grip was tweaked slightly to affect the magazine position. It was returned to me with nearly every major part replaced free of charge.

It has been reliable past the 500 round mark, but is used mainly for demo/comparison in classes, etc. It basically works, and has proven reliable.
I will say this: it IMO is definitely better than any Keltec shotgun, in regards to reliability.
would you mind explaining the parts/ website needed for the swap?

The Hi Point life expectancy is no longer than it takes the cops to melt it down after it's taken off the body of the dead gang banger.
Before there was Polymer there was Accuracy.

I've said it many times. My Hi-point carbine is my favorite rifle. That thing is an accurate, effective, workhorse.

My pistol is fine, but the feature set is so minimal that I don't enjoy it. Still reliable though

I bought a whole parts kit from these guys and turned my 380 into a 9mm. It's everything but the frame, so I have some spare parts as well.

Now, if anyone ever comes out with an 80% Hi-Point frame, I'm ready.
