I think the fact that glocks keep such high used value is the most praise for how good they are.
Glocks are not expensive, new or used. Well used Glocks generally go quite cheaply. Only the barely used sell in the $4-500. range and with that are generally extras. They are very common and that keeps prices low as well.

Edit: gen 4 have been around for quite a bit. Their value should be a fraction more than a gen 3.
Too bad you don't understand my point. It's not about the value or even what you think the value is for any given handgun. The point is about you creating this thread complaining when you were doing exactly what you despise. I don't have any issue what you think rarer glocks should go for. Re-read my previous post as you are clearly not understanding my point.

Blue Label Deals are sweet. Wish I would have taken more advantage of that while I was in.

I have no dog in the fight between Meno and Michael, but I will say this about the Marketplace.

Yes, anyone can ask whatever they want. It's up to the buyer and seller to arrive on a deal they are both comfortable with. No one is forcing anyone into the transaction. Still, so many of the "deals" are outside of reality by such a magnitude it's hardly worth even reaching out. I don't mind listing the price a little high expecting to negotiate or give yourself a buffer. The marketplace sure isn't what it used to be...

The bottom line is people a lot of sellers in the marketplace are on crack. They as a lot of money for guns in the hopes some uneducated person buys them. Just look at what CZ Sp-01s go for...there is one for $700 buyer pays fees....There is another one that the guy had a bunch of work done by CGW and he shot a 1000 or rounds through (so he says) and he wants FULL retail for.
If you want change you have to put in your 2 cents, you can't just sit on the sidelines and whine.

I know we can't post smack on peoples' marketplace posts but a "Did you see that ad..." forum in OT commenting on marketplace postings would probably rival the funny pics post for length in no time.

Instead of getting upset in this thread with each other, we should be getting upset with the roster of “safe” pistols. What a joke.

I absolutely can not believe how this roster is still allowed to exist. It’s clearly a violation of our second amendment right. It’s an indirect ban and a discriminatory practice. What makes a person’s life more valuable in another state than a person’s life here in California? Why are Le/military more important than an average citizen?

Dont mean to threadjack but this is directly related to the high prices people pay for firearms. As long as scared and/or stupid people vote for restrictive gun laws, we will keep getting this type of treatment. They keep trying to ban firearms to make it safe but a person can spend less than a $100 and 10 minutes in a Walmart or Home Depot and make a device capable of much worse destruction.

Look I know a fella had 127 guns. Layed off work cuz the place he worked closed down. Sold all his guns one at a time to make rent. They all went except 3 guns. Now he's living in an RV with 3 kids and 2 cats. Drives back and forth from K-Mart to Wal-Mart to park for a couple of days. Ducks the cops to park on city streets. Works for Amazon 60 hrs. a week. He drove the RV to Shasta Co. to look for work and a place...but he left when he saw the fire tornadoes and the place burnt down.

                                So, you know, proportion.
