HELP: Functionality issue after Glock 25 cent trigger job

After a little research online, this is more common than we all think especially on gen 4 models as discussed in this thread: https://www.glockforum.com/threads/g...y-issue.45964/
Also discussed here: https://www.glocktalk.com/threads/re...gen-4.1608327/
Edit: Provided the link above, can you try disassembling the slide while the pistol is facing the ceiling and see if you encounter the same problem? Please confirm.Last edited by ducatiti; 05-30-2018, 11:33 PM.Comment

The cause is pulling the slide too far back. In your own video at the beginning of the thread you couldn't reproduce the issue when you pulled the slide back by correct amount.
Seeing how you had difficulty grabbing onto the slide lock lever I would recommend for you to get an extended one.
In my opinion, all you have discovered is a quirk with reassembly if the slide is pulled too far to the rear for disassembly, as seems to be an issue for other people as well.
While pulling to the rear until the barrel unlocks from the slide gives you a "stop" point at which you start pulling the take down lever, there is no need to pull the slide that far to the rear.
The issue will not cause any problems with functionality of the gun and only presents itself during reassembly for you. Bottom line is that this issue is not something I would worry about since it can be easily avoided or resolved when needed.Last edited by MosinVirus; 05-31-2018, 9:26 AM.Hobbies: bla, bla, bla... Believe me, I tried everything to include moving the slide back less than a cm.The cause is pulling the slide too far back. In your own video at the beginning of the thread you couldn't reproduce the issue when you pulled the slide back by correct amount.

On the video, gun may be facing down reason it worked as designed. Only way I can get it to function as designed, is when pointing down while removing the slide.
In regards to difficulty with the slide lever release, I broke my nails from all the troubleshooting. Now they are trimmed, I have no problem releasing the slide
I was thinking of getting the extended release though. Would you recommend the flat or slanted version?
And OK, I'll try my best to not worry about it too much

But after all said and done, I like the stock trigger feeling eventhough heavier.
IMO, the polished parts make the trigger action feel like a toy in a way.
Again, this is only my opinion.
But then again, I’m shooting low and left with the stock trigger lol.Comment
