HELP: Functionality issue after Glock 25 cent trigger job

So everything went well and the trigger action feels a lot smoother but with one problem after all said is done:

I have to depress the firing pin safety each and every time when installing the slide after a field strip....

My guess is that something is not hitting what is it supposed to upon removing the slide. Do I have to bend something to make proper contact?

Sorry if my terminology is incorrect. Here is a quick video to help you understand.

    Thank you in advance.

Do this without a mag/ammo in the gun. Pull the trigger, then rack the slide and pull trigger again. Did you get a reset after racking the slide?

Pull trigger, while keeping trigger pulled to rear rack the slide. Pull the trigger again. Did the trigger reset after racking the slide?

Did you forget to install the firing pin safety spring?

Yes, it did reset after racking the slide.

Pulled trigger again while holding the trigger, racked it and it did reset again.

And firing safety spring is securely locked and installed...

Very interesting issue, I have a question: Are you using the stock fire controls group and connector?

Yes stock control group and connector. Waiting delivery for a gem minus connector.

              EDIT:
After further investigation, my assumption that something wrong was happening here was incorrect.

You may have overpolished something. It is almost as if the trigger bar is catching the striker ever so slightly as you take the slide off.

I noticed you move the slide a little too much to the rear. In this case the trigger should have reset, but it doesn't.

However your striker is pulled back and the firing pin block enters the "safe" position. It should be in the "fired" position with the striker freely floating in the slide when you take the slide off. That is also why a Glock rattles when it is clear and trigger dead.

That is why you see the striker move forward and get free when you push the firing pin block. So, somehow after "firing" and when you pull the slide back the trigger bar comes up enough to interact with the striker lug. When you pull the slide forward the striker is dragged back a little as the firing pin block drops into the safe position (only if striker is held back).

Bottom line is that your slide is not in the Fired condition when you take it off. Show pictures of all parts you polished please.

The forward ramp of the trigger bar striker block lifter is too steep to push the striker block up when reassembling because it is lower that normal (in safe position)

From the video it looks like the places that it get stuck is around the FCG. Does the FCG sit flush with the frame?

OP, did you do anything else in addition to polishing?
You could see very clearly if what I am suggesting is happening if you had an armorer's slide cover plate.

Explore handgun parts (1,572) at Brownells, including slides, barrels, and triggers to repair, upgrade, or customize your handgun for improved performance.

In any case, you should still be able to pull the slide to the rear and overcome that "safe" striker block. I know I have reassembled my glocks that way too. Don't be gentle.

I'm not being gentle... like it's hitting a wall no matter what. Only way to install the slide is to press the firing pin safety each and every time.

If I can't resolve this, I may just purchase another trigger assembly and firing pin safety, of which I modified..

Does the connector have to do anything with it? Bend it?

When you disassemble try only pulling the slide back no more than 1/10th of an inch. I would recommend pulling it the least amount of distance while pulling down on the takedown lever. In page 44 of the manual it said you shouldn't pull the slide back over 1/10th of an inch when you dissemble.

Try that an see if you still have the issue.

Tried removing the slide by only moving it back ever so slightly, same problem/effect.

What assembly is supposed to move the striker forward when disassembling?

The gun won't let you dissemble unless the firing pin is in the forward position, yours seems to be semi-cocked, not fully cocked but half way which is why it engaged/blocked by the safety plunger and require you to push down the plunger. I am assuming this Glock safety mechanism goes both ways, it won't let you take apart the gun if it is cocked. Neither would it let you assemble the gun if the firing pin is pulled back, even a little bit.

So we're stuck trying to figure out what is pulling the firing pin half way or what is causing the safety plunger to engaged/block the firing pin. When I get home I'm gonna try to duplicate the problem you're having.
