Add a Recover Tactical Grip/Rail and you can have tacticool and classic by just changing grips.

No that's just FUGLY. Both the grip and the S&W slide

Railed 1911's have their place in my collection. A proper collection wouldn't be complete without one.

I personally love the aesthetics of the full rail so I'm not fond of attachments covering it up. To each thier own though

                      Full rail TRP's need a 10 rd mag and DBAL-RL or X400V

                      I have an x300v on a half rail 1911, i prefer railed 1911's. Just a pain finding a holster for an x400v or dbal-pl/rl

Why do you folks with 1911 rails always post your pistols with nothing hanging from the rail? Is it just a macho wannabe thing, or is it just the latest bling thing?

I am 64 and the basic Government Model 5" is good enough for any work I need. I think you folks have more money than you know what to do with regarding your fancy pistols.

I have had (since 1992) a refined AMT Hardballer .45 ACP (let's see if anyone can pick out the mods) that will do any SD/HD/truck duty I need to be done. The barrel has been throated to use most any ammo you can stuff into it. I rarely hear anyone on this forum talk about functional pistols. It is all about looks on this forum, IMO, and also who has the prettiest gun. Mine is not pretty at all, but it runs, and runs well. Probably better than your NIB pretty safe queens.

                        Flame on.

If memory serves me right,in a recent interview Rob Leatham mentioned he shot competition 1 year with a railed TRP for the additional weight to help with recoil absorption and follow up shot. In shooting both my TRP and Range Officer there is a noticeable difference in recoil impulse.

Alquist Arms in Turlock has a few Full Rail TRP's in stock for $1499.

I don't think you can find them any cheaper.
