2 dot vs 3 dot sights

here's what i like about the bar dot/two dot system. for fast shots where pinpoint precision isnt an issue I am focused on the target (in a real altercation you are focused on the guy with the knife, not your front sight). With the two dot system I have two brightly colored (in my case hot pink) "blurs" in my field of vision. if those blurs are touching my shot is approximately on target (within a couple inches)

of course my opinion may change as I get more trigger time.

i like straight 8.. not a big fan of 3dot...

That is my favorite system as well. Really helps to focus on the front!

I agree. However, I've shot a couple Glocks with the standard fixed sights, and that U shaped white outline rear with white dot front sight is very cool.

I use both 3 dot and the dot/bar (dot the I) sights. I like the 3 dot better. But as Colt mentioned the Glock "Cup and Ball" sights were excellent the one time I had the opportunity to use them. I'm sure as long as you practice and learn how to use any sighting system you'll be fine, although maybe some eyes prefer a particular system.
