really love mine. bought one 9mm and liked it so much that when a german triple serial became available, bought another. will give one to my son when he gets older. I think you will enjoy it and is a great bang for the buck. I personally just like hammer fired pistols better.

The trigger is a mile long, with a squishy break. The night sights are huge and like lining up three paper plates. Maybe the standard sites are better. The one I owned was very reliable but as far as being fun at the range? It was not.

well, it is NOT a bullseye gun by any means. The trigger is just fine- the DA is kind of long and the SA trigger on both of mine break like glass.

It's a combat pistol and does a fine job at what is was designed for.

^^ ok so we agree with my first post. Great duty/combat/ night stand gun but not the best for small groups on paper at the range.

Back when I was a Sig fanboy, I owned 3 P-series Sigs in 9mm, 40SW and 357SIG. My last purchase before I sold them all was the SP2022 and as much as I didn't want to admit it.. for me it shot better than all the other Sigs that I paid double or more for. Aside from the bad batch that was sold at Turners for that one season, I think these are the most underrated Sigs.

I like my 40. DA is a bit long (my only other DAs are revolvers, so not really a fair comparison), but a solid gun that eats every round you feed it and while not a competition gun, no issues keeping the rounds in a respectable group.

For <500 otd with night sights and a holster, I don't think I've gotten a better bang for the buck

I've also got a Sig 2340 in .40 S&W, which is basically the same gun.

I love it, especially for the price! Having said that - I personally prefer 9mm. I find the .40 to be pretty snappy. In fact my 12 year old son doesn't even like to shoot it because of the snappiness, despite him being a pretty experienced shooter for his age (his fave handguns to shoot are my P-38, and 1911, neither of which he has any problem with). If it were me, I'd get it in 9.
