CZ 75 SP01

You too? I searched also but only for about 5 days. I gave my local guys a chance to find it first because I like doing business with them when I can.

I've been on waiting lists at local gun stores and had a WTB in my signature here on Calguns with no luck. It really needed to be local as well (I have a medical condition preventing me from driving long distances). That said, I called the gun store which I've spent $25K+ on higher end 1911's over the years and they had at least 2 in stock. I don't remember them retailing CZ pistols so I initially ruled them out.

I love my SP-01 its very accurate and soft recoiling. Oh and if fits like a glove. Congrats!

OK. Thank you osis32. I think I will try for a CZ 75 compact first and then work my way up to a CZ 75 P-01. After I pick up the SP-01 that is.

That's how I'm doing it. I just prefer steel frames because they mitigate recoil. I honestly wish the p01 was a steel frame

Everyone is different that is for sure. I was in the same boat as you about the Glock 42, and the hype was heavy. When I bought it though, I didn't like it at all, so I sold it. So I know what you mean exactly. I have heard great things about the XD's also but have never fired one or even handled one. But when I get that SP-01 in my hands it is going to be a favorite gun of mine for sure. You see I don't listen to all of the hype about the gun being so accurate that it puts bullets through the same hole, because I know I don't shoot that well. So I won't be disappointed there. Instead I bought it because it just felt right in my hand, I like the sight picture with the meprolight night sights, and love the way the trigger feels. The rest will be on me not the gun.

CA DOJ denied me.

I got a call from the gunstore today saying that the DOJ had denied my DROS on this CZ 75 SP-01 due to the 30 day law. I started a dros on a Beretta M9A1 on the 4th of March. I counted the days and the 30th day was on April 3rd. So just to make sure, I started the DROS on this CZ 75 SP-01 on April 4th which is the 31st day. And they denied me the pick up. Had to start DROS all over again today. The guy called me yesterday with the notice. Today he said it was funny because they usually call the very next day if not the same day to deny a gun DROS.

What do you guys think? Any recourse I can take?
