I bought one while all the hype was hitting the fans, shot it several times and traded it for an XD and cash. I did good. Cool gun just did not meet my expectations.

      Already thinking

Already thinking about the next one, and I haven't picked this one up yet. Thinking about a CZ 75 Compact or a P-01.

That's simple. Do you want all steel and safety (75 compact) or aluminum frame, decocker and rail (p01)?

          Good choice. Congrats!

The next step is to find a CZ Kadet to go with your SP-01.

I recently acquired an SP-01 to join with my other CZ's. It will remain stocked to replace my Sig P226 on the nightstand.

Sweet gun, I may buy a CZ next as I don't own one yet (unless my Sphinx counts). I really like the heft of CZ's and they seem super accurate.

Well they have a Rami and a P-01 at Olde West Gun & Loan. And they have at least one more SP-01 at the Red Bluff store where I bought mine. It is called Discrete Defense. When I dry fired the gun at the gun store it just sold me. I know it is going to be an awesome shooter.

Seriously? You probably haven't pulled an awesome trigger

Kidding aside....great pickup! You'll love it more the more you shoot it.

I'm a Compact owner and love it

I like the weight and find it really easy shooting. I am thinking about an alloy frame for my next purchase though.

                          Great guns.

Congrat's on your SP-01. Same thing happened to me Sunday after searching for weeks...it was in stock, untouched, $679+tax.

What is the difference between a CZ 75 compact and a P-01? Is it just that the frame on the Compact is steel and on the P-01 it is alloy?

You too? I searched also but only for about 5 days. I gave my local guys a chance to find it first because I like doing business with them when I can.
