Sigh... let's avoid the flame wars fellas. Keep it civil and not so coy... I'm grateful for any sensible input here. I'm as dismayed by the failures as anyone would be. I do, however believe it may be the RSA, which is going to be my first test. No, in all the rounds I've put through it, these failures are recent, as in the last couple thousand rounds. The only thing I've changed recently was the RSA, which could have been a bad seed.. I got it off of Amazon, so who knows.

As far as that 1911 comment... if I were to trade off my g19 for ANY 45ACP, I'd get a 21SF. No rise out of me on that one.

And DFence has been personally thanked for his extended hand, and as I told him, as a new member here, it's heartening to say the least I've gotten those kinds of responses being a stranger here.

After testing the springs, I would break down my G19 next to another G19 that functions perfectly (do you have any friends that own the same Gen3 G19?) and then look for any visual inconsistencies between the two.

What kind of forum would it be without people like that, I suppose

Is the slide lock/catch flat on the pistol or does it stick up a bit when you experience this?

Could be an out of spec slide lock spring

Not totally sure. Never got my damn pistol to malfunction with the snap caps and wasn't looking for that.

I assume at this point it's either the slide catch or recoil spring. Ordered a new one of both. I was using a glockmeister extended catch but ordered a Glock oem extended catch and oem rsa... We'll see what happens. I'll keep the thread updated.

Thank you all again for the help. I feel welcomed!

It appears from your original post that it only hung up on the last round, is that correct?

Every time ive seen a Glock hang up on last round, it was always the follower.
But who knows. I sure wanna know how you resolve problem.

FYI, Ive seen two of my Glock 19s and my friends Glock 19 hang up on last round due to follower. I think the follower says 2183. We replaced them with the followers that say 9mm and no more last round malfunctions.
